So will this be it for Friends sets for the rest of 2013? Will there be an Additional August release like last year?

Hahaha no joke! I think I might have to keep an eye out for that one on sale

Change up the color a bit and Tony Stark just got himself a new yacht!

I love the Bakery, it's much better than the 2.5 walls of the Cafe. If it had a pie piece it would be perfect, but I'll live with a pretzel and a loaf of bread.

The small 9.99 sets seem lackluster compared to the earlier small sets. It's a repeat of earlier sportscar and pet-patrol sets.

For $49.99 the school is also disappointing.

The most irresistible is the Dolphin Cruiser and that would set us back $69.99.

I took a closer look at the Dolphin Cruiser...so it appears the girls are drinking margaritas and daiquiris on the boat! There also is a blender...I "suppose" they could be smoothies ;-) ...Not to mention, why are high school girls on a yacht by themselves without an adult?

The boat is cool though and I love the dolphins. My daughter will love it.

I guess that has always been my question....how old are these kids? They drive and "yacht"/speed boat but are still in high school and go to horse camp? I do like the designs of these sets, tho. Colourful and very high in the accessories department.

exactly! and Olivia lives with her parents...but they all drive their own convertables! Definitely some inconsistencies TLG should look at!

ou only have to be 16 in order to drive. And you won't have your own place at 16, and will be in high school.

I am aware of the driving age, but I guess they live in a ritzy area (or their jobs at the bakery, cafe and pet salon etc. all pay really well) to have their own vehicles/jet skis. Also what parent let's their 16-17 year old borrow their yacht? ;-) I personally don't know many 16 year olds with a convertible and when I borrowed a car from my parents it was more likely to be a station wagon than a convertible!

A future set should be a Mercedes dealer ;-) Oh and isn't one of the sets a plane? Isn't Stephanie piloting a plane?

You are from Massachusetts too, even been to Nantucket? That would answer your questions.

The "Friends" theme isn't sexists or racist or whatever BS that was started last year, but it is very rich. I picture the the girls in the theme being that of the Romney's.

They are just super, super rich! It's very clear what is going on. LEGO Friends lives in a section of the world with no crime or fires or anything bad happens. Little girls get to barrow their parents yacht and have their boyfriends over.

Then LEGO City is where all the crime happens. It even explains why the minifigures and mini dolls are different, the dolls have had work done. ;)

I live in a rather small town and even in it there were 17 year olds who crashed their $40,000 SVUs and their parents got them new ones in a week (That's way too quick for insurance money). We live in the real world, LEGO Friends is based in the rich world of snotty pricks. :)

What boyfriends? You mean the one boy who lives in Heartlake? Matthew (high school set)? All of the girls must be fighting over him!

Don't forget Andrew from the Booze Cruise, I mean Dolphin Cruiser....he looks like another teen. ;-) Unless they are on vacation using the yacht.

On second thought, I don't think the girls are borrowing the cars...they are called "Stephanie's cool convertible" and "Emma's sports car"

There is a dad in one set and at least two teenagers.

That's more males than LEGO City has females. :-D

And if your parents bought you a sports car you wouldn't drive it around and call it your own? :)

It is a pretend world. It can be anything you'd like or make of it. Maybe we can do a Friends soap opera. :-D
