*Shy wave from the back of the room*

Post by Blackorange » Wed Jul 09, 2014 11:56 am

Hi.
Erm, never know how to introduce myself. Mature bloke from the UK here.
Been into Lego since the early 1970's and find it astounding that there are still old parts and pieces I've never encountered before.
I don't buy sets any more. Pretty much just a purchaser of interesting bits and bobs from Bricklink and a minifig collector.
Slightly obsessed with the combination of black and orange Lego.
Constantly MOC planning but seldom build anything. Partly due to a chaotic storage system and partly because life conspires to leave me no time to build.
I'm not a social person so I don't go to conventions or belong to a LUG. I suppose it would be nice to find a building partner but in the meantime I'm content to bumble along alone.
I'm not an AFOL. I just really Like Lego.

Welcome to TnB! I've only been here for less than 3 weeks, so we're in the same boat in a sense. I know you said you don't build much but hopefully this site will inspire you to find time. It'd be great to see some of your creations!

Yeah, when I've got stuff to show I will. I've let my storage get out of hand so I'm perpetually sorting in my spare time. I've got pages and pages of spaceship design doodles. Mostly fighter size but I'm working towards a larger build as something ambitious to try. Probably about 100 or so studs long. I know what sections of it will look like but still don't have a plan for the whole thing. I suspect it'll be a long slow build with much change and lots of frustration as I've never built a large ship.I need to sort out my Flikr account too.

Welcome!
"I'm not an AFOL. I just really Like Lego.".. nice
I've spent a lot of time over the past year trying to organize my apartment and have devoted a lot of time towards creating more space for building and storage.
