Hello from Greece. My name is Xeno.
It's good to find such a great place filled with Lego-fans. Glad to be here with you. I am 36 and generally like every single miniature (not taller that 2 inch) from almost any theme but I am stick to Lego mostly.
I can't say I am a Lego freak, but I am kinda nostalgic my early years playing with Lego pirates and building mediaval castles. I never really stopped love Lego. My first big Lego boxed set was about 21 years before. I was with my father outside a toy store. There where 2 large sets there in the front window... The fire station and the Medieval castle. I chose the castle. We returned home in the afternoon and I built it in less than two hours. (Slipped out from the bed at night... ;) )
Lots of talking later on.
Thank you all.
Greetings to all Lego fans

Yep! It was released in 1978 (I bought it 4 years later... I guess)legitimatealex wrote:Wow, one of the firsts. I love your reproduction :) Grats on being blogged about. How many bricks is that approx?
767 pieces (+ the horses) and 14 figures. Not counting the horses as figs, because old horses where bricks!
Re: Greetings to all Lego fans
Quite an evolution to the horses in the POP and Kingdoms sets. What are your favorite LEGO themes?

Glad you asked that, TClone!TClone wrote:Quite an evolution to the horses in the POP and Kingdoms sets. What are your favorite LEGO themes?
Pirates, Vikings, Fantast Era, and Indiana Jones at the most.
Also love the whole city concept. And that because, no matter how many years will pass, Lego will always "pump up" this theme with new products (or at least different versions of the old ones). So, imagine yourself building a large Lego city as the years passing... New city products to build your city even bigger etc. (Of course you need free space and a very large table...)
The same (but not so heavily) occur for Castle and Pirates theme...
Atlantis or space police themes could someday die. City will be forever. 8-)
