As soon as my sons are done with school, we'll build something in a hurry. We absolutely want to submit something this time.

Lisa, with second place you're the biggest winner this town ever had. Before you, it was the woman who dated Charles Grodin.
From, the episode: I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can. You can see the original scene here:
http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/File:I'm ... Can_99.JPG
Piece count: there is about 40 in the head and probably another 30 in the rest of the mountain and 12 for the trees and landscaping.

Springfield Nuclear Power Plant - 299 pieces
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124633799@N07/
Here's what I was attempting to make:
http://simpsonstappedout.wikia.com/wiki ... rplant.png
(I don't have much variety in terms of colour because I mostly have SW/LOTR sets, so I apologise for that. And even though they're completely not in scale I thought I should take a photo with the power plant's always-heard-rarely-seen crow and "inanimate carbon rod"! In rod we trust.)
Thank you so much for the opportunity, Toys N Bricks - I had a lot of fun and I hope everyone else did too!

The Legitimate Businessman's Social Club-294 pieces
Although its not an iconic building in Springfield I still chose to try and re-create a micro version of Fat Tonys Headquarters, the club home to the Springfield Mafia. This is the building I tried to make:

This is one of the first Micro MOCs I have made and I would like to thank Toys n Bricks for that opportunity through this contest. Good luck to all contestants.

Toys-n-Bricks Simpsons Contest
A micro build of the one of the most popular buildings in the Simpsons universe:
The Springfield Mall first appeared in the episode "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", the first episode of The Simpsons, making it the third major location to ever appear in the show besides the Simpsons' house and Springfield Elementary.
At one time, the mall was in a dilapidated state due to the mayor's dad being murdered there.
Built with 187 bricks.

Great builds! Especially loving the simplicity of the tire fire. Good luck to all entrants!

I started counting my build and stopped when I reached 348 pieces. I gonna have to make some drastic changes to reduce the piece count. This is my first time doing a build with limited piece number. Its been fun though. I'm happy that the deadline is extended. It will give me some time to make changes.

It was my first time with limited piece count too. Can't wait to see your build!
Why was there extension?? Now I have a higher chance at losing.

When building mine I had the exact same problem as you, the windows were more detailed and accurate to the building I had chosen to do, so in order for my entry to qualify I had to cut down on the windows which has really let my model down.

KrustylandFinal.jpg
KrustylandFinal2.jpg
This is my lego interpretation of Krustyland. First pic is the Krustyland entrance. The other pic features the Krustyland version of Krustyburger, The Itchy and Scratchy Store with the park map, and in the center is the Sumatran Century Flower. Figure something that smelly fits nicely in Krustyland...lol. For the whole build, I got it down to 300 pieces exactly. This is my first time building something from scratch as I tend to love having a blueprint in front of me. :) Thanks for the challenge. It was a lot of fun!

For my build I chose Lard Lad Donuts. I wanted to use one of the new pieces from the Simpson's minifigures.
Most pictures I found included the parking lot, so to me it felt like part of the building.
289 pieces.
Here are more pictures of it:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/49761667@ ... 497362763/
It was really fun building this, unlike trying to upload pictures for the first time.
Thank you to agrahmann for cleaning up the photo for me
