Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I last entered a contest organized by Toysnbricks, though I always browse this page for some awesome LEGO news. Many thanks to all the people behind this awesome contest who give us a chance to win the terrific (and not affordable
) Tumbler set. Anyway, here's my entry:
Name: Harley Quinn's Hammer Truck
Pilot: Harley Quinn
Size: ~ 12 x 39 LEGO grid (not exact value as it's not built according to grids, but I have already round it up)
As the mad girlfriend of the Clown Prince of Crime of Gotham, how could Harley not having a cool truck? The whole truck has been covered with a pattern of the eye-catching black and red blocks. I designed the truck to have a crazy length and weird proportion in order to match the madness of its owner.
In the front of the car, as you can see, there is a horrifying but icon statue of a crazy grinning clown face, with the clever( self boosting
) blend in of it's teeth, the headlights are one of my favourite details as well.
The Hammer on Harley Quinn's hand can also be perfectly fit into the back of her seat, making a cushion like thing.
Perhaps now you would be wondering, why exactly should the truck have a pair of wheels in the middle of it? This is a little play feature I added in to make this more fun than just being a display (BTW, it's partly because I found recent LEGO sets lack playing features). In case if the long truck got shot by Batman at the back, or the road becomes too crowded for such a lengthy truck, it can split apart and release the ever-more-weird-looking kart, equipped with necessary taillight.
And now you might laughed at me, for there the Hammer Truck only got a small hammer held by Harley herself, how can this truck even attack the fearsome Batmobiles? You are so wrong in that case, the middle pair of wheels has even one more function than being a pair of wheels for the escape kart, it is also the hammer! All you have to do is to lift the front part of the cockpit, and release the iconic giant hammer of Harley Quinn to smash whatever in your way!
Finally, I would like to have a brief explanation of the diamonds pattern at the back. I took the idea from the leg printing of Harley, so it wasn't a mistake to have two red diamonds on the left and three black diamonds on the right.
And that's it, the Hammer Truck, wish you guys enjoyed my creation and good luck for everyone !
