As soon as I read this I had a couple of great (to me) ideas that I actually have the bricks to at least try; but the CMF is a sticking point - if they are supposed to be stock that basically reduces almost any iconic scene you could possibly do (I mean really, look through the entire catalog and try to place 80% of those characters anywhere but in the background of a scene, which would be fine, except the size restrictions got added also). Not to mention some of us don't have an entire catalog to even draw from, hehe.
Yeah this is a sticking point for me. I'm like "this contest sounds awesome", then I read the CMS part and went "Ohh... never mind". Not everyone has a lot of them either I think it would be fun if it were to use a CMS piece / part for your display.

Also the last two decades are 2000s and 2010s. I'm thinking of a movie released later in 1993, but is a classic. Never movies can be classics.

What constitutes a *classic* movie? Does Return of the Killer Tomatoes(1988) make the cut? (*)
By creating a *classic movie scene* does that mean the Movie Vignette should play true to form - exactly
the way it was done in the original/classic movie that it is based upon. Or does the Lego builder have
some literary lego creative license to *re-intepret* a scene?

Also, when you say the movie has to be 20 years old, does that mean from start of contest (2/15), or could any movie from 1993 count?

Creation must be a classic movie scene (nothing from the past 2 decades; aka 20+ years)

I read that to mean the movie has to be more then 20 years old. It doesn't have to be from 1993.

Yes, that was made obvious from the start, I meant if you wanted to do one from 1993 (20 years ago) would it have to be from before 2/15/1993, or could it be later in the year such as a certain "terrible lizard" movie which came out in June 1993?

Hello! This is actually my first post and when I saw this contest, I could not resist! Perhaps it has been done before but I had to do this scene... Just finished this today! It seems that I will be the first one to post a picture...

^ Nice entry

I have a question, can I also use figures that aren't from the collectible series in the same vignette with figures from the Collectible mini figures??
(I also have a quite good idea but it might not be a really memorable scene)

Yes, only one minifigure needs to be made from CMFs.

Thanks! When I got that evil knight I automatically thought of Black Knight from this particular movie! :-)

I felt it needed modification so I edited my Monty Python to create more accurate scene from the movie.

I added evil robot's helmet to resemble black knight's head and adjusted the platform into 16 by 16 green and create forest background... I think it does look better!

I edited my Monty Python scene... changed evil knight's helmet into Evil Robot's helmet however I kept Evil Knight's body. Adjusted the environment to make it more accurate like the movie... I hope it does look better for everyone because it looked better for me.

Thanks, I like your new update and I also like the technique you've used to make the tree leaf slanted, you've done a great job too :-)

I'm going to say any movie released in '93 or earlier.

That's up to you, but remember that the entries will be voted on by everybody so if the movie is more well known it may have a little better chance of getting votes.

BTW great entries so far, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
