Well thanks for setting the bar. I wish you had set it a little lower. :) Nice job.

Here's a pineapple. If you want more pictures of the real one then you need to speak quickly -- it's on the menu for tomorrow. It's about 11.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep -- the last picture has a ruler to confirm that it is within the height limit. [Photo removed by mods, but noted that the model is within the size limit]

Hello everyone!

Here is my entry, an iPod Nano 3rd Generation.

Here is a view with the family... I really wanted to build a pink one but I did not have the parts, so I made a yellow (although I am aware Apple never released one...)

Here is the 1/1 shot.

I tried building different iPod models and ended up with builds that were a lot more complex than this one but the scale was always a little off. This is a rather simple model but it's very close to the original.
Here are the measurements (original model Vs LEGO version).
Height 69.8 mm Vs 74 mm
Width 52.3 mm Vs 56 mm
Depth 6.5 mm Vs 8 mm

Thank you for organizing the contest and good luck to all!

Happy Meal

Image

Image

It opens up and comes with Chicken McNuggets, Fries, Orange Drink and a Toy. And it all fits nicely into the box.Its dimensions are: 5 inches wide by 5 inches long by 8 inches tall.

(pictures are links)

And here is a photo the inspiration:

The box was the original inspiration. And then I added the food, choosing McNuggets, as they are my daughter's choice. And the orange drink, as it is the drink I remember as a kid (my daughter prefers chocolate milk). And I went with the old style french fries, because I wanted to try out that logo design.

If you know anything about New Zealand you will have heard about our passion for rugby and the All Blacks (our World Cup winning national team). So as a kiwi LEGO enthusiast I’ve designed and created a life-sized LEGO rugby ball.

The brown colouring and added laces are a throwback to the original rugby balls used pre-1980s. The ball measures 310 mm x 210 mm (comfortably fits within the cubic foot requirements) and is made from ~1300 pieces.

It’s my first time adapting the Lowell sphere technique to create a round shape with studs out in 6 different directions – a design not for the faint hearted. I hope you like it.

I came back to building with Lego after a long dark age. As a big Transformer fan I started building Lego models of characters from the original series. The model is 4.75 inches tall, 2 inches wide, 1 inch deep.

This is my model of Generation 1 Transformer Kickback.

We all love our devices, and Legos as well. Best of both worlds!

Unfortunately not, I tried my hardest to make it "openable", but alas I am a firm believer in making MoCs from pieces on hand and I did not have enough smaller plates to allow me to separate the halves, just enough to finish it whole.
