My kids and I would love to look through this! Now I hope they put out other collection books (I'd really like one showing all the Castle sets over the years!).

This would be a great reference for figuring out what some of those old figs came from. I'll put it on my Christmas list.

So far I think it looks interesting, but I would need to see a little more to judge. The pictures look good, but as an AFOL, the paragraphs in the book would have to be interesting and informative.

I would buy it if it's discounted. The 3 free lego characters aren't anything special to justify the price.

Maybe if they included a cd with all the characters on file too. Maybe something interactive to add more value.

I have other Lego books made by this publisher and we enjoy them as a family. Quality of information and quality of photos are great. My son reads and re-reads all Lego books he can get his hands on. thank you.

I'll be picking this one up, one way or another... It's not heavy reading by any stretch, but I enjoy flipping through all of them long after I've read them from cover to cover.

The book is an interesting idea and will certainly find a large audience with the current popularity that minifigs are enjoying. I think my kids would enjoy it a lot, so I might be getting it for them. As for myself, I tend towards the books that focus on either Lego sets past and present or amazing MOCs.

I wouldn't buy it, but would be interested in looking at it or having a free copy. Lego books like this always seem like a lot of shiny packaging and not much content. Also, I don't like it when these books have a really thick cover to hold the free minifigures, but once the figures are removed the huge cover is pointless.

I already have two books of this publishing house and I want another one.
If I find it at a reasonable discount, I will purchase it.

I love the CMF Encyclopedia. The book describes all details on CMF minifigures and hidden meanings on their printings (like designer's initial). And, this book, Minifigure year by year, is another good reading and a collection for LEGO fan. One thing I don't like is the included minifigures. This book's title is year-by-year. if the minifigures are selected by the year (from the first minifigure to recent one and unique design), the book was perfect.

I will definitely purchase the book. As an AFOL that just started back up after 30+ years of missed sets, this will be a great reference book.

My family will end up w/this book, either free or purchased. Minifigs have been a great addition to LEGO building sets.

Let's put it this way - it took at least 20 minutes to tear my son away from our local B&N after he found this book. I did not let him buy it that day due to the price, but I know there's one destined for our house in the near future.
