Summer sets showing up at LBS - including BTTF

Post by atmail35 » Mon Jul 22, 2013 6:04 pm

I saw some of the new summer sets at the LBS in Braintree, MA today. City, Friends, Chima Speedorz. I also picked up the BTTF set, sounds like they only got a handful in.

I'm sure there were others, but I was not really planning on buying much more this month. ;-)

Happy Hunting all.

A bunch of the City Sets were at one of the Toronto ones (Sherway Gardens), plus we finally get the MBA kits. (Albeit very expensive)

I hope MBA gets added to S@H soon. Do you recall how much they were? (They're $29.99/$49.99/$79.99 USD, so I'd expect $39.99/$59.99/$99.99 CAD?)

Back To The Future Now On Sale

Post by Sinfanti » Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:08 pm

Just bought a couple BTTF DeLoreans at the Lego store in downtown Chicago. Haven't built it yet, but thought you would like to know it's available.

It is so ironic that the box set was sold out quick while thousand of negative comments were made to this set.

I think it's "ok" but like the minifigures. My wife wants one though. I haven't shown her what the original creation looked like though.

What's the matter McFly? Chicken?
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

That feels about right, remember at least 2 for 99.

Did Lego or anybody ever say why they changed the design?

Speaking with the Edmonton store manager today, I learned that the reason these sets took so long to become available in Canada is because the boxes and books lack French. :what?: This is also why they can't be offered online through S@H (at least, for now).

Summer Star Wars sets showing up at Targets in Las Vegas. I purchased the Duel for 39.99 which was better than TRU's 47.99. I only spotted the Duel and the Republic Gunship, whereas TRU seemed to have the whole lineup. :shh:
