Creator Mountain Hut looks fun. I'm loving the Creator sets more and more.

It is a pretty set. A very detailed build, but it's more for visual appeal than function, sadly. Still I like the cabin, and all the clear pieces of different colors are nice to have. I love the Creator series, got both the set with the light up brick and the one with the sound brick recently.

To be on topic, I didn't see this set for sale at my Kmart, if it's around you for sale but it!

At Kmart, I got 79006 Council of Elrond for 18.90 (from 29.99) as a reduced price 27.00 with additional 30% off clearance (not sure why it wasn't 18.00. It rang up for that amount. However, I also got 70000 Razcal's Glider. It was sticker reduced first to 7.00 from 11.99. On top of that sticker was a 6.00 reduced sticker, so it should be 4.00 with the 30% off. All 6 of these sets were like this. They rang up on the floor scanner for 7.00. First visit I tried to get the cashier to honor not only the 6.00 but also the additional 30% off clearance and she refused both, trying to charge me 7. Second visit I found the sets on the shelf again, and took them to the service desk and pretty much had to pull teeth to get them to honor their own sloppy price policies. Still, somehow the price only came to 4.20 for the set, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the math of that. Kmart is bonkers. In other clearance news, I am seeing transformers on sale everywhere, just FYI :)

I saw no signs of this at my store, and the 30% off was still in effect.

I hate to break it to you but your math is the part that is wrong. $18.90 and $4.20 is 30% off those prices.

Went to 50% at my store but there was nothing left. Going to try another store tomorrow.

Just to add to the info, I just got back from my local Kmart. 30% is still the clearance price (not that they have any Lego on clearance.)

I'm also surprised that they still don't have simpsons minifigures yet. Is that the same with everyone else? I know of 4 other places in town to get them...but not at Kmart.

Poughkeepsie KMart was still 30% off. The only LEGO I saw on clearance anyway was one of the $7 LEGO Friends sets marked at $6.

I went by multiple stores and this was my haul.
2 Creator Mountain Huts for $15 each.
2 Creator Twinblade Adventures for $6.50 each
Creator Fierce Flyer (eagle) for $6.50
City Mobile Police Unit 60044 for $17
Lone Ranger Comanche Camp for $9
and the game Creationary for $15.50. This has 338 assorted pieces in it.
There were also a couple of Chima speedorz that I already had. I scanned a bunch of other sets but these were the only ones I found on clearance. Also, it was very YMMV. Some sets were clearanced at a couple of stores, but not at others.
Every single one of them rang up at 50% off on the scanners, but rang up at only 30% at the check-out registers. I had to be persistent and in a couple of cases I had to walk a manager to a scanner and show them that they should be ringing up cheaper, but in the end I got them all for the prices I listed above. It was slow, and a real pain, but worth it for that kind of discount.

My experience was sort of the same.

I went to a far away store from my usual area and to my surprise found 2 of each:
79010 The Goblin King Battle.
9472 Attack On Weathertop.

Same problem with the store scanner vs. register, but I could not change the manager's mind about the price. I decided to buy them anyway, 79010 for $63.00 and 9472 for $37.80, took them home on Tuesday.
Yesterday I decided to try my luck with my closer Kmart and took a copy of the UPC to scan them. They were scanning cheaper! 79010 for $37.5 and 9472 for $22.5.
So at night I return them and try to convince them into rebuying them at that price, but they told me no. I need to wait for the next day for the returns to be processed. I politely accepted and went home. The cashier was very friendly and the manager was also very clam. He even told me to return in the morning.

So I did. I found them on the shelf went to the register and was once again facing the nightmare of the %30 instead of %50. But this time my charm and patience won! After almost 35 minutes of price check, stock check, employees double check, manager price override I walked away with them at the new lower price.

To make the deal even sweeter I applied $12 of rewards and coupons I had.
So at the end, 79010 cost me around $33.00 and 9472 around $18, since the cashier put the wrong override price instead of $22.50 she did $21.00.

Now I can return one of the 79010 to Walmart when I bought it at $69.00 which will make this purchase even cheaper once I get that return on my card.
I was completely :-D all day long.
Now I have 6 black riders only 3 to go for my full army...

My kmart had the 50% off. I cleared out most of their good stuff months ago, but they had a Chima Crawlers Ripper thingy for $6.50, (after the 50% off). It has over 130 pieces, olive green and dark red tiles. Had to take it at that price :-D
