So is the $17.99 Best Buy deal just for pre-orders, or is that going to be the in-store price next week?

Also, where can I find more details on the Best Buy, $10 off a LEGO game deal?

Anyone know? Thanks!

I found it. It's the regular in-store price for next week and the $10 savings only applies to a purchase of the LEGO Movie video game, not any LEGO video game.

This is most likely the best deal.

So I think I need to return my Target Pre-order @$37.99? How incredibly stupid that it is less money on release day....why bother to pre-order? :???:

Updated with Kmart. Anyone know if TRU is offering anything? There doesn't appear to be an ad this week.

Kmart (from the ad for 6/15-6/21)
BD/DVD/UV - $22.99
DVD - $16.99

- Shop Your Way members get 20% back in points on City, Movie, and Superheroes sets
- Free LEGO Movie companion book with any LEGO purchase. Limit 30 per store

Looks like Amazon IS shipping my Everything is Awesome Edition pre-order. The status says "Preparing for Shipment" with a delivery date of Tuesday.

As for TRU, I looked on their website and they have the regular blu ray and dvd for $19.99 each. No EiA Edition.

So to be clear if you buy it at Target you get:
1- EIA edition for $35.99.
2- Then lets say Set 70802 Bad Cop's Pursuit for $25 (regular ad sale)
3- $10 off on top of this? + 5% for Red card members...
So the movie end up being $31.99 and the Lego Set $20?

That is a win/win scenario if you ask me.

They would probably split the $10 differently but yeah that would be the deal.

Amazon is once again allowing pre-orders on the movie.

Everything is Awesome: $34.96 http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Movie-Blu-ra ... lu_title_0
2-disk Blu-ray: $24.99 http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Movie-Blu-ra ... lu_title_1
2-disk DVD: $14.99 http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Movie-UltraV ... vd_title_0

It appears to be going in and out of availability. I'm sure there are many humorous explanations that could be given about the situation.

Even though the Best Buy offer write up reads "Get a double-dose of The Lego Movie when you buy the hit movie on DVD, Blu-ray or 3D Blu-ray" on their website, the offer seems to exclude the DVD edition. Clicking on the $10 promo link on the EiA or BR versions brings you to this page:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... gory&h=387

where the options for selecting an edition of the movie only include EiA and BR, and the game choices are Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4.

The link isn't on the DVD edition.

EDIT:

It also looks like the Target deal is the one for me. Even though the promo states:

"Target Exclusive kids’ activity book packed inside. SAVE $10 when you buy The LEGO Movie Blu-ray (available Tuesday) AND any LEGO set or video game shown. Offer starts Tuesday. Quantities limited; no rain checks."

the product pictured and advertised is the BR/DVD combo pack, which I can do. Don't have Blu-ray or an HD tv, but eventually will. Probably never have a 3D TV, so I can't justify the EiA edition just for the Vitruvius minifigure. That, coupled with the $39.99 price on the videogame means $22.99 + $39.99 - $10 = $52.99, like getting the movie for $3 after buying the game at full price!

The offer works online too just in case for those who are wondering. I picked up the EiA edition plus the Trash chomper, got the $10 off plus the red discount and free shipping. :)

I guess the $30 Amazon.ca deal for EiA version is quite good.

So the $10 combo discount with the select LEGO Movie set or videogame is not just for the BR/DVD 2-Disc version? That's a game changer, I may have to pick up the EiA Edition + Wii U game, then... Hopefully this is in-store as well as online. Thanks for the heads-up!

I just came back from Target.

The EIA edition is in stores. Don't pay attention to the website that say 'not sold in stores"
My Target had about 6 copies of the EIA.
I bought the Movie plus the game (Wii U system) total after taxes plus all discounts (including %5 off) $67.07
Not a bad deal, $33.53 each.
The $10 off was applied directly to the game, it was not split.
Although return policy requires for both items to get full refund back.

The family is going to have a blast full of Lego goodness. :-)

^ I just did the same thing - all online prices are also in-store, though they might not have the sale price hangers on the rack. The guy I spoke to in the entertainment dept. said he didn't have them to put out.

I think the "not sold in stores" on EiA is so you can't do an in-store pickup online with that version. I had seen a pic AC Pin posted on Flickr that was obviously Target that had EiA on the shelves, so I wasn't worried about it not being available, just the possibility of being sold out:

Today is an AWESOME day! by ACPin, on Flickr

There was also a large cardboard endcap at the registers that had all versions of the movie, plus a bunch of the different versions of the videogame and a few copies of each of the three sets that were included in the promo. I didn't know about it so I went straight to the back where there were empty racks for the BR/DVD w/activity book, two full slots for the standard BR/DVD, three copies of EiA and a bunch of the DVD-only. I'd say, in all, I saw 6 copies of the EiA edition in the store, though they might have had more "in the back", only wanting to restock a little at a time for whatever reason.

I pre-ordered from Amazon awhile back and mine shipped and I also pre-ordered from Bestbuy when it was $34 only to realize amazon price matched and I couldn't cancel so Best Buy shipped. Ultimately, I decided to do an online order with Target because I needed 1 of the 3 sets that was already marked down to $25. So It was $35.99 for the EiA edition + $25 for the lego set - $12 ($10 + $2 for the target card) and it put me at $48 and then about $3ish in taxes so $52ish after tax.

Oh and on a side note. Not sure if it was mentioned but pre-ordering from Best Buy got me a $5 buck promotional discount that I think i can use on bestbuy.com. Not sure if it goes away if I return the movie I pre-ordered from best buy. Definitely returning amazon's and best buys. I don't need 3 EiA's

Got my EIA edition today from Amazon.ca. What disc art did you guys get on the DVD? It is supposed to be Emmet, but the one I have is TLM logo in both English and French with a label "not for individual sale or rental".

I haven't looked at mine yet. How do you know it's supposed to be Emmet?

Well, the amazon page could easily be a photoshopped cut/paste job. Most official product images are. The videos would be another thing all-together, I suppose.

Perhaps they printed another version for use in Canada, due to the multilingual specifications?
