TRU lowers some clearance prices

Stopped in at TRU tonight, and found some different Lego items clearanced and some old clearance Legos lowered in price. Ninjago Nindroid MechDragon was lowered to $39.99. Also, you can find a coupon on retailmenot.com for an additional 20% off on all your clearance items until January 31st.
There were also a few different Chima set clearanced. Some looked to be around 50% of real retail price.
Also the TRU exclusive Jedi defender-class cruiser was clearanced to $75...not great, but you also get an additional 20% off of it with the clearance coupon.
There was a scattering of other Legos such as a few City items clearanced. It probably does vary by the store, though.

I was at a TRU express and saw The Lego Movie Rescue Reinforcements for $59.98 and the SW Tie Bomber planet set for $8.98 and a Galaxy Squad set. $60 for the Jedi Defender is tempting, might have to track one down.

Austin tx TRU at mopac and 183 has about 20 Crater Creepers 70706 for $4.19 w the 30% discount, before tax.

Glad I waited on these. I just walked out with the Ninjago Nindroid MechDragon, and the Galaxy Squad Space Swarmer, Warp Stinger, Hive Crawler and Crater Creeper all for $72 total. There were a couple other larger Galaxy Squad sets that were not as discounted...maybe after 1/31 they will drop more.

No Chima sets scanned at anything lower than the advertised clearance prices, but that extra 20% off coupon was damn nice to have!!!

I found the MechDragon for $39.98, Galaxy Swarmer on sale for $4.19, and Vermin Vaporizer for about $41. Then I got an extra 20% off... what a deal! It pays to wait.

I picked up the GS bug obliterator 70705 and city helicopter arrest 60009 for 45.49 and 29.98 plus the 20% so both sets were about $60 so 65.xx out the door. I got the Titan and vermin sets when they were 50% before Xmas so I am done with galaxy squad. Also the series 3 mixels were 3.98, the lego movie ice cream truck was 24.98 along with small ninjago set and small castle set for 7.98 each.

And thanks to bobl for the coupon tip! I went back today to pick up the Bug Obliterator for $36. Can't beat that! Oh, and they had also discounted their Series 12 minifigures to $2.98.

Thanks for posting the coupon! I was able to find some really good LEGO deals yesterday. Anything with a price ending in 8 is on clearance and I found 10 or so different sets that the coupon worked on. Thanks again.

I picked up the City helicopter set, Ninjao Mech-Dragon and Hover hunter, a couple of the really cheap Galaxy Squad sets and the Lego Movie Rescue Reinforcements, plus some minifigures with the coupon.
Another good deal was the Chima Eagle Castle which is an exclusive I think. Price was $15.99 after the coupon.
It is still half-off even without the coupon. They also had some City Mine sets and a few other Chima that I saw.

I can confirm this. The web does not show the new price, but it's in the store. Mine had about 20 of these I just bought 1 of the 4 remaining. Go fast! 0.03 cents per piece

It's still listed at $39 online, and using the inventory checker it shows the store I went to has no stock (they had several left), so if near a TRU might be worth a look.

I was tempted on this set at $39 for parts. For $20 I couldn't pass it up :)

That's good to know. I haven't stepped foot in my TRU after I quit in November, but if it ever warms up ( ) then maybe I'll go and look.

What's with the piles of leftover Mechdragon sets? My local TRU and Wal-Marts had dozens of these marked for clearance over the past several weeks. Low interest in this particular set or did Lego just produce WAAAAY too many of them...?

NinjaGo is having like three dragons this year all of which look better and are cheaper. I think LEGO made too many, the price was too high and the boxes are so huge you can only fit out 1-2 of them on the shelves.
