20% off this week at TRU in store and online. Of course almost everything is at TRU prices. But it might be a good time to pick up some of their exclusives. Also, I think everything is an extra 10% off on Thursdays, if purchased with a TRU credit card.

These are never good deals, what do you all think? Other than exclusives is there anything worth purchasing? Do you think they will price match and add this 20% savings.

Toys R Us will not apply the 20% savings on top of a price match in my experience. They will stack the 10% off you get on Thursdays with their TRU credit card though which makes it a decent deal.

Any ideas on sets that are good to purchase during this sale?

I think the only sets worth picking up (since TRU prices are 10% higher then regular retail prices) are TRU exclusives like the MTT 75058, the Coruscant Police Gunship 75046, or the Battle Droid Troop Carrier 75086. Everything else, if you are patient, you can get cheaper elsewhere (provided you have Target, Walmart, KMart, etc. nearby and have the time to check regularly after you see info on this site indicating the sets you want are at a price you like at any of these stores).

I may pop on by to pick up a few battle packs as these are great army builders for MOCs.

I found the friends animal series 5 pouches tagged at $2.48 and with the extra 20% they were $1.98 so I grabbed a set.
