I'll do the math later... I left multiples of many of these sets. I guess you can consider that I don't live in a big city and this was between 3 Wal-Marts within about 15 square miles of each other.

Saw pretty much the same as everybody else, and most monster fighters were 30% off or so. If you're in Brandon, Fl hit the bloomingdale one for best selection...

Visiting my parents for the holiday in Wilmington, NC and can report that local Walmart here is in line with the trends. Dino is all 50% off, with a solid if sparse collection. Select city was marked down as well. Grabbed a couple Recycling Centers (4206), which the shelves were loaded with. Grabbed the only two Tipper Trucks left. Garbage Truck was still full price, which was befuddling. Among the Star Wars deals to be had were the Landspeeder and Sith Infiltrator, both at 50% off as well.

But I cashed in on Collectible Minifigures at $1 a piece, including a huge inexplicable cache of Series 5. The moral of the story is... Scan! Use the iPhone app or the in store scanners. Nothing is marked but there's some good deals lingering on the shelves.

Saw newer stuff for 30% off but I don't bite at that price. A lot of inconsistency among stores and many were wiped out as is being reported. It took visiting 5 stores to find the above deals. We may venture out in a bit to see if we can't find the 2 smaller Dino sets. My son has been wanting these for a while. Good stuff out there if you've got time to drive around. Good luck folks!

I am wondering if this hit SD. Vultures were out at the last store...circling the toy aisle and staring everyone down. We had a few things in our cart and two guys followed my wife around grabbing just about everything she picked up.

Don't forget to check out the Lego games. Got Minotaurus (3841) for $12 and Heroica: Fortaan (3860) for $16.50. Minotaurus is my god-kids' favorite Lego games of the 6 or so we have tried for what that is worth. It has a good Lego-y feel also.

All three had the Urak Hai set, all scanned at 29.97 :(

The first had Weathertop, Mines and Ghost Train for 30% off (all marked... and nothing else on sale/clearance - no ninjago, sw, or dino were left on the shelves)

The second had a $20 Dino set that scanned for 10 bucks and one beat to heck ewok set. (And weathertop, mines, and ghost train all scanned at full price).

The third had been picked pretty clean, but they did have some of those 650pc boxes from black friday - they were marked up to 19.97, and scanned at $9.50 and a single Ninjago booster than was 2 bucks (and again the MF and LoTR were full price)

Traffic and crowds were far less hectic than I was guessing they would be, and a few good deals to be had. Happy hunting all!

I was at WalMart this morning. I scanned just about every set & nothing is on sale at my local store.

I decided to try another WalMart this afternoon. The shelves were practically bare, but I got 3 Monster Fighter Mummies at $7 ea (Target had them for $8.38). Series 5 & Series 8 polybags at $1 ea. Tie Fighter polybags at $1.50, 30059 polybag for $1.50, small Friends sets for $7. Mines of Moria for $54, Weathertop for $40, Ninjago Fagpyre Mech $12 (got the only one) & a crushed box UFO for $12.50. I didn't buy the two LoR sets since I already have them. The mummies, minifigs & polybags are all gone. Oh yeah, there were some retractible Ninja pens for $6.00.

Try Target. There was one Uru-kai for $21 in my store this AM so I got it.

4th Stop 16th Ave and Bethany Home, looked like a bomb went off. No lego section left to speak of. Had mining truck at $17, few SW polybags, wasn't worth waiting in long checkout lines for.
