Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Finally managed the mythical $49 Quinjet, and, greatly random, a Ninjago poly for $2. Stormer XL down to 40% off but I'm not biting yet, already got one at that price. Clearance shelves full of Tie Fighters and Forest Police Station ringing up full price.
Slim pickings, but still worth dropping by Walmarts that are convenient. I wouldn't go driving any distance at the moment.
This is SF Bay Area.

Picked up a lonely City Space Shuttle with a nice box in the Lego isle. I thought it might be a clearance item. Yep, it rang up $14.50. Must have been another return.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I picked up the City Police Heavy lift chopper at WM for $35 today. It was the last one when they had 6 last week so I bit. Glad I did too cause it's really cool. First city set Ive bought since I was a child but I really like the looks of that chopper. much bigger than I thought it would be.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I picked up the Lego Space Center 3368 today at WalMart for $34 and also, not great but still decent, the Lego Airport 3182 for $84. The were both in the clearance isle. The box on the airport set is mildly jacked up so there is a great chance this set will be opened and assembled.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Someone in my location is consuming all Lego items even at 25%. Can you at least, wait until 50%. :-/

great find on the space center! I paid RRP for Space center a year ago and my nephew still plays with it all the time. worth every penny at RRP!Cementups wrote:I picked up the Lego Space Center 3368 today at WalMart for $34 and also, not great but still decent, the Lego Airport 3182 for $84. I found some $49 Quinjets.
I can confirm what everyone else is reporting. Lots of Star Wars Falcons moving to clearance section but still priced at RRP.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
They are in the new Walmart re-sets. They will be going back into the regular lego isle as soon as the re-sets are finished. I have already seen a few completed re-sets and the Falcon is in them.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Hi, I'm new to this forum, and just getting back into Lego. I recently found my space sets from '86-'89 and they were all complete! Anyway, I have been looking at sets that I might be interested in, and I'm wanting to get the Dino series. I just saw today that they were on clearance at Walmart and Target a few weeks ago! Anyway, has anyone seen them at a Target or Walmart in the Orange County/Los Angeles area? They still have them on toysrus.com but if I can find them for cheaper I'd be able to afford more of them. Thanks!
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I'm not from California, but even here in smalltown USA I've only seen them still at Toys R Us and KMart. KMart is starting to clearance them right now, but they've only marked a few dollars off so far.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Dino is pretty well cleared out most places around SoCal that had it discounted, but you may get lucky and find a return or a cache somebody's missed. Best bets are probably to wait for a TRU BOGO, or get a B&N membership for the 10% discount, find a location that hasn't sold through their stock yet, and wait to stack the membership savings with one of their (frequent) 20-30% off coupons.dnbiola wrote:Hi, I'm new to this forum, and just getting back into Lego. Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Thank you folks, that's helpful. I'll keep looking around to see if any are left but I might be stuck with Toys R Us. Hopefully they have a BOGO sale soon and the Dino sets are still available. Thanks again!
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
If you have Kmarts check them, the ones up here in central Cali still had Triceratops Trappers and Tower Takedowns (the latter slighty marked down to $18) two weeks ago when I checked. I think TRU has the best selection I've seen in-store, though. And TRU has the exclusive Ocean Interceptor
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I'll have to check out some Kmarts. I checked a bunch of Walmarts and Targets yesterday and was unsuccessful. I found them at a couple Toys R Us stores. If I get any there I'll order online and do store pickup, since the in-store prices are ridiculous (The Triceratops Trapper was marked up from $49.99 to $69.99!).
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
And also, since you just got back into LEGOs, be sure to make sure you know the actual regular retail price (RRP) before heading to ToysRUs as they mark almost everything up 10-30%. Sometimes you can get lucky online and one weeks sales can lead into an overlap with the next weeks sale. I recall one time last year getting 30% (brining them to around RRP) and then a BOGO50% in the 3 hour window between 9PM Pacific and 12 Pacific. TRU can be a pain, but sometimes a good one :)
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Found a $20 monster fighters hearse in a shopping cart full of store returns to be reshelved in Rancho Cordova. Seals looked a little suspect, so I opened it at the end of register right after buying. All good.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I checked a couple Walmarts today that I had been to previously and found a few things so it never hurts to look. This forum has really helped by knowing what may be marked down, but not ticketed.
Star Wars tie fighter poly: $1.50
Creator helicopter poly: $1.50
Space shuttle: $14.50
Ninjago Jay's stormfighter: $12
650 pc Creative builder kit: $9.50
and a couple of days ago I found a Dino tower takedown for $9.50 so there may still be a few Dino sets out there. I also saw one at Target, but it rang up at full price.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Well, a local Wal-Mart store must have cleared out one of the trailers they put clearance stuff in before Christmas. The small Friends sets were marked down too, so I picked up one of each I found in clearance. I left a few items that were beat up and they still have plenty of $54 LOTR Mines of Moria, $49 SH Quinjets, and one Jabba set left for $79. Here's the haul from tonight:
Hero Factory Splitface (6218) - $6.00 MSRP $12.99
Friends Andrea's Stage (3932) - $7.00 MSRP $9.99
Friends Olivia's Invention Workshop (3933) - $7.00 MSRP $9.99
Friends Stephanie's Pet Patrol (3935) - $7.00 MSRP $9.99
