This week from March 24-30, Toys R Us United States will be offering BOGO 50% off ALL LEGO Construction sets. Excludes Marvel Superheroes and on sale items. Hopefully, this sale doesn't exclude "Hard to Find" items (Modular Buildings and online exclusives).

In addition, they will also be offering 30% off Toys R Us price on the following sets.

It does say exclude's hard to find items, the Key here is are they going to Jack those prices up again.

Where did you see that they are excluding hard to find items? On the flyer, it only mentions Marvel Superheroes and on sale items being excluded.

If you look under the one of these "hard to find items" it says (under "special offers" you see:

"This is a LEGO Hard to Find item with limited availability and is excluded from all LEGO Promotions"

If they jack the prices up like say $119.99 for Both Friends 3185 and the Vampire's Castle its not worth it, more phony sales.

as of right now, 12:15 am sunday central US time, when added to the cart, NONE of the sets are showing up as BOGO 50. that's the TRU i know and love. but each and every lego set seems to be on some sort of "sale" so could that be why they're not showing up ? hmmm.

Its funny they call them "hard to find" considering: they have them, LEGO S@H, Walmart online, Amazon.com and Target online all have them also. Hummmm, that seems to be most if not all of the "major players" so I really don't think they are that "hard to find" until EOL. They should just call them the: catagory that we don't want to put on sale.

Edit: woke up to find an e-mail that my order as cancelled because it could not be completed. That's the TRU that I know. Price online is still the same and store pickup is what I chose. Trying again.
Blame may or may not be TRU. I placed 2nd order and this time it went through. May have something to do with the payment for the first order (I did get confirmation for 1st order though). Both times were via PayPal.

LEGO terms them "Hard to Find." It is their category for them, even described as such on their site. Not sure why it is funny...not in any major retailer stores around here unless shopping online. I would have to drive 150 miles to find one of the "Hard to Find" sets in store...I conclude the name is accurate.

Yeah, "Hard to Find" has become a marketing tool, it's not descriptive of actual availability in any way at this point.

I've not experienced that. I suppose if you're really vigorously flailing it around it could happen, but I wouldn't say "easy". The 'claws' at the end of the legs screeching on wood surfaces, THAT I can attest to.

All in all, it's a really cool set. The dark red buggoid figure is only in this one.

Unfortunately, TRU has marked up all the Technic, so the maximum discount is 13% (helicopter). Most are around 10% off.

Yes, everyone once and awhile TRU makes a mistake and gives us an actual deal. You just have to keep an eye out. It's why I don't know why everyone still gets so pissy with the TRU sales, they have been horrible for years. This isn't news, be happy there is any sale at all.

And this seems like a good deal for a little boat...

I wish my TRU had those, or that there was free shipping online.

If you want the slicer I suggest buying it now. On Amazon all the top 4 stores selling it have it for $45+. This is probably the cheapest you will fine it.

Of the reviews I've read and watched, only one had an issue with with the legs falling off. Most people just wanted more mobility with the limbs.
