We're also happy to announce that his novel made it through the first round of Amazon's Breakthrough Novel Award contest. There were 5,000 entries and that was reduced to 1,000 entries after the judges read the 300 word pitch of each story. Now, different judges will read the excerpt (the first 5,000 words of each story) and reduce it to 250. That will be announced on March 20th. Eventually, it will be reduced to 3 entries and then Amazon customers will vote on their favorite. Whoever gets the most votes wins the $15,000 publishing contract for their book. Very exciting!
I know this announcement is not very LEGO related, but it is important to us and we hope that others will find it interesting.
