Declartion of Independence on July 4, 1776
Separation of the 13 colonies: Northern Colonies (New England): New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont. Middle Colonies: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware. Southern Colonies: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia (also including some states a little West to it)
This year marks the United States of America 236th birthday!

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. The original '13 colonies' actually comprise the bulk of America's Eastern shore from Maine (originally part of Massachusetts) all the way down to Georgia - basically the only modern state missing from the original 13 colonies on the coast is Florida. New England is the group term for the North-Eastern states including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.Toys N Bricks wrote:Separation of the 13 colonies: now known as New England and consists of 6 States on the Eastern Coast
