My US Postal Worker is Lazy!

Post by atmail35 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:07 pm

I ordered some stuff from TRU and today it came via USPS. It is pouring rain outside and the postal worker chose to leave it on my front steps without a plastic bag or anything. By the time we got to it, it was pretty saturated. Thankfully nothing inside was wet, I may have gotten to it just in time before the water penetrated the entire cardboard box.

I mean it is clearly pouring rain and he thought it was okay to leave it out there to get wet? And I picked it up at 1PM, what about those that are out of the house all day. By 6PM I'm pretty sure the contents would have gotten water logged.

When I went to move the empty box to the garage, it left a puddle on the floor! To be honest, this is not first incident with the postal worker, he definitely is lazy.

Thats unfortunate ;(

Having worked in shipping and receiving for a tech company in the NW this doesn't surprise me at all.
We had $10k worth of ink ruined by a UPS worker who left it out in the rain.

As a UPS driver myself I would venture to guess that it wasn't raining when he dropped it off so he didn't feel the need to bag it.

My pet peeve with the postal service is that they never ring the bell or knock on the door so that you may know when they are there so that maybe you can retrieve the package immediately.

Sadly it was raining all morning and the package was not there when we picked up the morning newspaper, which was in plastic! And yes, they NEVER ring the bell! And my UPS driver is fabulous, I have not had an issue with UPS, sadly more packages are being delivered by "smartpost", smart my ass!
