hmmm i couldn't check the price on lego.ca, so thought it was perfect time to pick up MF sets before retiring, guess not all the sets are on awesome deal.

It doesn't make it any better really but MF line was all marked up at TRU since they introduced it, it wasn't done just for the sale. Ghost Train is mysteriously at MSRP though as mentioned.

I had bought a few sets at TRU a year ago, and they were all at MSRP then. Other times the mummy set was $17 instead of $15. My feeling is this most recent price increase happened once the sets became discontinued, or in preparation for the sale. I always double check prices if I shop TRU.

The mummy set is a total rip off. The ghost train is still at MSRP if you can find it though. I passed on the mummy and the crazy scientist set due to the mark up. I already had the Vampyre castle and the hearse and werewolf set so I only got the ghost train and swamp creature.

I think the swamp creature hasn't been marked up as well according to brickpicker.

I bought the swamp creature at moonlight madness. It hasn't been marked up, so just $6 after 40% off. I saw all sets at the Barrie location except the crazy scientist and his monster. Considered the ghost train but feel I've bought enough this year lol.

There was a single GT as well as a Crazy Scientist with plenty of mummy and a few swamp sets left at Markville tonight.

If anyone bought the Lego Star Wars advent calendar from TRU in the last 45 days, ask for a price adjustment. While they have no stock, it is listed as $34.99 on their website so they should honour that price.

They just cancelled my order for it after about 2 weeks of waiting - despite be assured they had stock just 2 days ago - so yes ... I'm being a bit vindictive at the moment. I also hate to see people leave money on the table if you can get some back.

As a side note, I'm not sure why you'd advertise a product as being on sale when you have no stock and don't plan on having any. Can't see it being that hard to just remove it from your website. Guess they can't find the right fuse to pull to turn those lights off ... :-? This is one more reason I hate TRU.

i know this is slightly off topic but speaking of the last post on calendars....anyone know any place you can still get a calendar either online or i am heading up GTA way this weekend to do some shopping...first time in 3 years without one and it feels weird :)
