I had to ponder the same question. I don't really care for the set a whole lot myself (I think the Death Star II model is much more impressive), but just look at how popular the thing has been in its years of availability. I was able to justify it by noting that it's only about 11 cents per piece, which is a good deal, and that once this thing gets discontinued, it'll become worth triple what I paid. For these reasons, I wish that the Super Star Destroyer was available right now. At $400, I'd snap that up without blinking (or eating for a month ).
