Folks must be stocking up for the next holiday season or for birthdays, etc...

Gotta show up early before Friday 8am for the 50% sales. Some times parents are already lined up and waiting for the doors to open, especially if there is something popular.

Nothing left at one of the TRU stores I visited. Oh btw, do your local TRU stores have those big 48x48 brick-built LEGO logos? I really want to purchase one and hang it in my room. :D

One of those logos were missing in the LEGO aisle so maybe someone had bought it. I wonder how much they charged for it

According to Brickset, both the Fire Truck and Cad Bane is a Target exclusive doesn't that mean it is a Zellers exclusive as well?

You are right. People didn't care what it is when it is 50% off. All of them were gone except "Big Bentley Bust Outs" when I passed by West Broadway store at 12pm. I wasn't quiet interested on those set, so not a big deal to me.

Yes, I forgot about Big Bentley - that one was still there at my store as well - I don't think many people like this set. It's not too bad for parts though.
What really surprised me was that the Power Boat Transporter was completely gone as well - that set was $25 at WalMart for the longest time and even was 50% off during previous sales.

This morning I was at the Toysrus at Vaughan Mills in Ontario, hoping to see if there are any left over Snow Trooper packs. The friendly employee there told me they were sold out, but they just had new Star Wars Lego specials that was just put on today (Tuesday April 17), just before the store opens at 10am.
I saw 3 more star wars sets on special!
Battle of Genosis is at $20.87 used to be at $49.99
Emperor Palpatine's shuttle is at $31.87 where it used to be at $79.99
General Grevious' fighter is also at $31.87 where it used to be at $69.99

Cad Bane's Speeder back instock for $31.87 online. As of this posting, they have 62 sets instock.
Battle for Geonosis has been marked down to $20.87 too but sold out. :(
