All Zellers closing!

Post by dmsmith12 » Fri Jul 27, 2012 12:30 pm

So read that the Bay is closing all remaining Zellers stores in Canada.
So look for 30% off legos at your local store.

Ya no surprises there. I was at my store last week and many shelves were empty already. No discounts on LEGO yet, but apparel was discounted.

The store associates told me that the store will not be closed until Feburary; it was strange the shelves were getting empty before Christmas shopping season.

Was in Orillia (Ontario) today and hit up the closing Zellers there to see what they had left. Other then board games, Hero Factory and a some really old Ben 10 stuff, no lego left. (Sad, but not surprised) However, even with Toys reduced at 50% off, there were aisles and aisles of Megablocks, Kreo and other Lego ripoffs. LOL. I did get a complete set of Heroica games for my nephew and neice thought, They came to $10, $13.50, $13.50 and $20 each.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

Zellers Coquitlam has started their liquidation. Sadly no new sets except for a Friends Summer Riding Camp, Mia's Bedroom and Andrea's Bunny House. No Superheroes. The Halo Banshee is tempting at $7.99 + 20% off.

Assuming Coquitlam is the same as the Delta Zellers, the discount on toys is 20% to start. Should increase by 10% every other week or so, according to an employee.

Awesome. I'm surprised Zellers got such a huge LEGO Friends set that hasn't been released in North America yet (online). Will wait until 50% off. :D

Yes, its 20% off at Coquitlam. I don't think the Friends sets will last that long. They only had 2 Riding Camp and like 2-3 for each of the $12.99 ones.

Has anyone been out to the Coquitlam or Delta Zellers lately? Just wondering what the discount on toys is up to now.

I went there today and toys are still 20% off. Seems like they haven't made any reductions at all (not just toys, but everything else is still the same same).
