[Canada] 40% off Lego at Sears (unadvertised)

Went to two Sears in Vancouver (Coquitlam Centre & Metrotown) and both had all Lego on 40% off. There were NO signs other than "40% off already reduced clearance", which none of the lego is, but everything we took to the desk rang up at 40% off regular. Picked up Republic Frigate for 105 after tax. Not sure how long this sale is on for.

There isn't even a toy section anymore at Richmond Centre.

Yea, total hit or miss, i was in my Sears about 2 months ago and asked where their toy department was, and they said they don't even have one anymore! WOuld have loved to have gotten some of their Lego on clearance, but when I was in there about 6 months ago it was really slim pickings!

With them done selling Toys and Zellers closing down.. it kind of sucks, but at least I'll have a new Target 5 min from my house!

Yeah, surprisingly the Metrotown Sears has a ton of stock left of things like ARC-170, Bounty Hunter Gunship, Palpetine's Shuttle, and a butt-load of battlepacks (Clones, Mandalorians, Hoth, Snowtroopers).

Anyone check out the Brentwood Sear's? They have a small toy area but it does have Lego.

Update 8/6: Confirmed Brentwood store has Lego at 40% off. A few different Star Wars set and not much of anything else. In fact, all toys are 40% off their last ticket price. Good time to pickup some Christmas presents.

There wasn't any Lego at Sears North Hill in Calgary. There is still some Lego at Sears Chinook Centre in Calgary, but it looks like it is only discounted by 20% or 25% :(

Just check my local store in Saskatoon and got a T-6 shuttle for 40% off. they had lots of Genosion fighters some frigates palpatines shuttles DM infiltrators.

Sorry no MF's. I would have grabbed a couple for resale if they did. I actually tried ordering one from them online a couple months ago and they were sold out. Just to let you know. they mustn't update their site to often.

If you have a Sears credit card you might want to check your last bill for a 10% off coupon. I was able to get an extra 10% off after the 40% discount. Not much but pretty close to paying the taxes.

Was just at the Sears at Markville Mall, had quite a bit of Lego still. Mostly Star Wars, some Pirates of the Caribbean, some City, some Atlantis and just a few Kingdoms. Some of the sets were on clearance also, so that stacked with the 40%. The clerk told me that Sears is getting out of the toy business and come Sept, they won't have a toy section anymore. Asked about the discount and they said it was previously at 25% off and was just changed to 40%. Said there's the possibility that it'll go even higher.

I already had 2 of each and by the look of these in the current market, these would not do well probably in the secondary market. Lego has way too much stock now - good for everyone but not enough people buying! They need to update their research/market strategies and make the right amount for the marketplace.
