Re: Toys R Us Sale Nov 23 - 29
BOGO 40% online with Star Wars. For the Super Star Destroyer, that's 402$ (with tax/shipping) per SSD if you get 2.

If you plan on doing this, I suggest you DON'T choose the R2D2 set for this so-called "deal"...TRU has placed put in an extra $30 to the regular Canadian retail price. It's usually $230 but TRU is selling it for $260.ricefields wrote:anyone interested in splitting some high priced sets in the toronto area? don't need two r2, ssd, etc?

Better deal at Shop at Home as it would be $207 after 10% off. Toys R Us BOGO 40% off would work out to be max discount of 20% so thats $208. At Shop at Home, you pay $1 less, get VIP points ($10.35) and a holiday set.Toronadian wrote:If you plan on doing this, I suggest you DON'T choose the R2D2 set for this so-called "deal"...TRU has placed put in an extra $30 to the regular Canadian retail price. I was planning to get Palpatine's Arrest at Toys R Us, but I still can't justify buying 2 of them. Not to mention, $96 + tax is still pretty high for that set.

thanks, I originally thought there was some no tax event based on wintersun's post but taxes are added afterwards making it not worth it from toysrus and agree that shop@home would be better.
Will be leaving michigan tomorrow and I wish had time to recieve the r2 set from amazon.com which would have been $139 shipped!
could have bought it at the lego store too for $162 (10% off 180) plus 6% tax but my wife said no more!

Oh my gosh...I'm so willing to pay you to get a set or 2 for me right about now. Like the Pet Shop or the Town Hall right about now.ricefields wrote:thanks, I originally thought there was some no tax event based on wintersun's post but taxes are added afterwards making it not worth it from toysrus and agree that shop@home would be better.

I would wait until next May the Forth event. I prefer to spend my money for this set on S@H rather than TRUs unless TRUs offers a very good deal.Ice wrote:I was planning to get Palpatine's Arrest at Toys R Us, but I still can't justify buying 2 of them.
