Pretty good deals from Amazon lately. Although not as good as they TRU BYGO 50% and the $15 promo code, $100 with free shipping and no tax from amazon is a worthy deal, especially on a set that will probably be gone sooner than later.

Why do you think it will be gone sooner rather than later? It just launched in 2011... May I think...

Just a guess since it's a branded product, ie, Lego probably pays royalties to Maersk on each set they sell. Additionally, typically the Maersk Lego sets, such as the container ship, don't follow the typical 2.5-3 year life cycle. I say buy now and be safe.LegoFanTexas wrote:Why do you think it will be gone sooner rather than later? It just launched in 2011... May I think...

looks good for the Canucks :)
can anyone confirm that they do ship up here? I always thought that amazon didn't, but maybe they have changed policy. Also, do they ship with USPS? It takes away the deal if you have to pay UPS or Purolator handling fees.

But didn't Lego rerelease the container ship?
Also, with Emerald Night going away, Lego needs a "high end" train to sell, this would fit that bill. Unless we're going to get an even better train next year! :)
I am amazed how fast 10155 went up, it is over $200 on Amazon already, less than a year after going away.
Hmm...

It works out to be 10% off the MSRP before tax in Canada so I don't think its worth it. Most of the time, everything works out to be Canadian MSRP (or even higher) because Amazon heavily inflated the price thru their shipping charges. The only way you can get a deal is if you buy small to medium sets.111ins wrote:looks good for the Canucks :)

Items: $99.97
Shipping & Handling: $37.55
Total Before Tax: $137.52
Import Fees Deposit $17.97
Order Total: $155.49
1 Maersk Train cost $37.55 to ship and 2 Maersk Train cost $75.09 to ship so this means you get charged a flat rate per item regardless of how many you order.

Thanks for making this a thread - I wasn't sure if it was worthy.

I find it kind of weird that LEGO decides to give you extra stickers for additional passenger wagons, when they don't even sell an individual passenger coach set. Similar to what TLG did with the Santa Fe coach cars. I really hope they do release a set like that, after the Emerald Night gets discontinued. I hope what I just worte makes sense.

Yea, who knows what they had planned with the additional stickers. It's pretty obvious that TLG could have made a decent profit from selling the coaches individually for the EN. They didnt have to do anything crazy like they did with the Santa Fe sets, but just having the option of one or two more cars would have been great. I'm actually considering picking up a couple of more Emeralds if they go on sale on Amazon just to get more cars and sell the locos and tenders. It kinda funny that on Ebay, the coaches for the EN sell for more than the train itself.
