Day 3: Snowman mini-build

Post by vynsane » Wed Dec 21, 2011 8:39 am

Everyone sing with me: On the third day of giveaways, TnB will give to me (if I win):

7571 Fight for the Dagger, 7789 Lotso's Dump Truck, 7569 Desert Attack and a bonus 30070 Alien Spaceship
(partridge in a pear tree not included).

For a chance to win today's treats, build a mini snowman. This will NOT be a skill-based competition, just build a recognizable snowman comprised of no more than 30 pieces that's not a direct copy of one found in an official set, and you will be entered into a random drawing for the prize pack cited above. I will close this topic approximately 24 hours from now (approx. 10:40am Eastern) and announce the winner shortly thereafter (as time permits).

Any entry can win, so it's the attempt that counts! Both are great so far, anyway!

Is it ok to have the link to my snowman photo? I haven't been successful in downloading the attachment.
Never mind. :-)

It's the abominable snowman. And he brought ice cream and cocoa!

Just thought I'd try something different. :shifty:

By the way, how do you take a screenshot with a white background?

You go into "view mode" (F6 or View>ViewMode) and then there's a button in the top-left for screenshot (cmd+k or ToolBox>TakeAScreenShot). It always does a transparent or white background for me. This is on Mac OS X.

Unfortunately it does not do that for me. And I am on a PC. Thanks for the help though.

Here is my entry. I challenged myself to build a 3D snowman with the 30 bricks limitation. Here it is. 30 bricks, not one more or less. Of course the boy on the side doesn't count.

To save bricks, basically, what you see on the photo are almost all the bricks, other than 4 or 5 structural ones that held up the figure.

You go to Tools --> Take a screenshot

Basically you position your model and zoom the way you want it, and then you use "screenshot" (I think it's also ctrl-k). Alternatively you could just screenshot it regularly and remove the background in an image editor
