Amazon.fr Whole Box of Series 6 Minifigures
You can now order a whole case of series 6 minifigures on Amazon.fr. Each case will run you 109.99 euros (roughly 144.25 CAD and 142.60 USD, according to xe.com). But when you go to the confirmation page, the total comes to 99.56 euros including shipping for Canadians ($130.57 CAD). So if you do the math, $3.49 x 60= $209.40 (!) $209.40-130.57= Savings of $78.83! But the downside to this is that the ship date is estimated at 4-7 weeks.

Customs fees depends on the shipping company they choose.Zeya wrote:What about customs tariffs?

What shipping company does Amazon France usually choose? If it's UPS it's not worth it due to their Brokerage Fees.

They sometimes use UPS or DHL.harry99 wrote:What shipping company does Amazon France usually choose? If it's UPS it's not worth it due to their Brokerage Fees.
Re: Amazon.fr Whole Box of Series 6 Minifigures
DHL is good as fees are lower but if they send UPS that will be another $29.00 brokerage fee plus other fees - pretty much eliminating any savings compared to Canadian retail...

I don't understand any of what you are talking about "brokerage fees". Is that a Canadian thing?
Re: Amazon.fr Whole Box of Series 6 Minifigures
It's essentially a "handling" fee that carriers will charge you if there are customs fees that are owing on the package. I believe the carriers front the money at customs for you and charge you afterwards for the taxes owing and their "handling" fee.
I think Canada Post charges $7.50 as their brokerage fee (can't be 100% sure, since I haven't been charged customs through Canada Post in a very long time) and UPS charges $10.00 now (or at least that's what they charged me for my Amazon France package). I was worried I was going to get hit with a $30-$50 fee from UPS (I've heard horror stories), but thankfully it was only 5 bucks in tax and 10 bucks in brokerage.
