Sadly it's two, we already have some set numbers for the summer release.
I wish Alien Conquest had two waves.

Good eye! I totally missed that while looking at those photos. I'm glad they found a clever use for those parts!

I actually think I might get multiples of the swarm interceptor set. If you look at the cockpit canopy, there is a hinge to it, which I think is new?!?!? and It is been a while since we have seen a decent star-fighter 'starter kit'. $25 is a bit steep but I can wait for a toys r'us 20% off sale. =D
and the colours match well with alien conquest. =D

I agree... at first glance, I view this as "Atlantis in Space". Some nice new colors / elements.... some cool minifigs... one or two sets that look "ok"... but all in all, not very impressed at all. I might 'gut' this theme and buy them for Minifigs and unique parts and sell the rest.... if I even bother with that.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I agree...
Not according to
this post on the bottom of page two of this topic:
Draykov wrote:No idea if there is any legitimacy to this, but
a site in the Netherlands has a few additional set numbers listed for this theme (at the very least, I think we can say the set names are not final). Thanks to CM4S over at Eurobricks for the tip-off. Most are slated for August 2013 while the "walker" is slated for April along with the rest of the first wave.
70706 Galaxy Squad
70707 "
70708 "
70709 "
30230 Galaxy Walker
And 30230 turned out to be correct - I wouldn't doubt that the rest are, as well.

I saw these at TRU last night. They didn't "wow" me at first sight, but neither did Alien Conquest and I ended up getting all of those. I didn't think the Vermin Vaporizer looked too bad, and the kids did like them. I don't see these selling much better than Conquest, although they will work nicely with some of the AC sets. I might put these on some Christmas lists so I can see how we like them without having to buy for now.

Flickr user Shamisenfred, one of the designers responsible for some of the Galaxy Squad sets - namely these

Has revealed the significance behind the different colors used for the various teams (in the comments of that pic):
"The good guys have different coulours as they have different skills (green team: defence, red: speed, orange: fire power, blue: strategy)."

I also spotted these at TRU today, along with new Hobbit sets. Also saw 2 copies of POP Battle of Alamut.
This was in San Jose, CA at "The Plant".

Hrm... 70705 is the Bug Obliterator. I have to assume these are numbered 70706 through 70709.
