Chapters 20% off Assorted Sets

Post by scotts » Wed May 08, 2013 11:04 am

Chapters is having a 20% off sale on certain Lego sets, quite a few of which are City but also Cars, Star Wars, PotC etc. I can't seem to find a banner indicating the date the sale ends nor is there a list of just sale items.

Yep - without the coupons this sale is really just average at best.

Harbor is still too expensive at 36% off.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

Tried to place an order, but won't send large set toys to the United States. Bummer.

I didn't try to place an order on this, but there might be an extra shipping charge because it's a larger item.. I know in the past when ordering larger sets they always wanted to charge me extra

Agree.

Why would anyone in the States want to order from Canada? If we have a at least 50% off sale then yes, but this is only 20% and at our MSRP. Barns and Noble would be a much better option.

^ It's a harder to find set - maybe it's not available anymore. The cheapest on amazon.com is $115 US.

I got this set from Amazon.com over a year ago (Feb 2012) for $59. Unless it is EOL, this is a bad deal unless you are in Canada and can't buy from U.S. =\

I hate how every Lego set here is at 25% premium...good thing I can buy from U.S.

That set is indeed EOL - it went out about a year ago.

There are quite a few sets not avaliable in store like the Star Wars Rancor pit, a couple of Ninjago sets like Epic Dragon Battle, just to name a few.

They don't have much space in their stores as their toy sections stock an abundance of other toys (quite interesting ones - things you usually don't get at your local WalMart). That's probably why they have more online as their fulfillment centre(s) have more storage.

Also, I believe the local stores are franchises... but I might be off there as I am not certain.
