June 2013 Sales Offers: LEGO Shop at Home

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri May 31, 2013 5:44 pm

Update: It appears that for USA customers only, you can get both the Ironman vs Drone polybag (May's promotion) AND Jor-El minifigure when you spend $75. Hurry before the overlap deal expires! (thanks Buttmunch)

To celebrate the upcoming movie "Superman Man of Steel", LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK) and most European countries will be offering a FREE, exclusive 5001623 Jor-EL minifigure with any purchase of $75/£25/€55 or more. Valid June 1-25 or while supplies last. For those of you who are not familiar with the movie’s story line Jor-El, is Superman’s father who is played by Russell Crowe in the film.

In addition to this, LEGOShop will also now be offering FREE Shipping on any order of $75/£25/€55 or more all the time. There's no expiry date for the free shipping offer so if you are a LEGO Shop at Home fan, this is going to be great news for you!

Just placed me an order! Not only did I get Jor-el and free shipping, but it was still throwing in Iron Man as well! 2 Freebies beats Amazon right now IMO.

I went and talked to my local Lego Store manager today, and they said it was necessary to have free shipping on large orders to be more competitive with the other retailers. Anyways, definitely nice to have year-round for us. :)

Wow, I'm tempted to buy now to get 2 freebies (I'm assuming this will last until tomorrow morning, when the Iron Man promo will probably be removed), but on second thought, I think I'll wait and get Jor El with the 10% coupon in the Summer catalog coming this month.

Got a couple of Lone Ranger sets and the new LOTR Rivendell set to get up to $75. With VIP points and 2 free mini figs it is a pretty decent deal.

When I'm checking out, I see the Jor'el poly in my cart but not the Ironman... I know it said I qualified for it earlier in the process and it shows up as an advert on the website still. Did everyone else see it in their cart/order review?

I just put in an order less than an hour ago and I definitely had both in my cart when I checked out. It's possible the overlap is dead now?

Well, since I got the notification that I "qualified" for the free Iron Man and the advertisement banners were still up, if I don't get one I'll just complain ;) I hear Lego Customer Service is pretty good.

Just checked and a free Iron Man poly still showed up in the cart on the USA side of of the site, but not when I tried it on the Canada side.

Yeah, I figured it might be a USA/Canada difference... we'll see when I get my order I guess.

FYI: The Ironman vs Drone polybag (May's promotion) AND Jor-El minifigure deal is no longer available.
I tried it last night and again this morning and it's now only the Jor-El minifigure but the Jor-El minifigure promo is still good add to a collection.

On different note I haven't received my summer catalog yet but I'm hoping it shows up soon.

Mine finally had that printed on it too because (I'm assuming) UT is finally getting a Lego store this year. I don't think it will be open before the coupon expires though

If anybody *hint*hint*wink*nudge* gets a coupon and won't be using it please PM me. I don't think I can NOT have the Tower Bridge very much longer.

How do you find the 10% off coupon in the summer catalog?

I'm curious about this too. I got my summer catalog today and there is no 10% coupon to be found.
Is the coupon on an order form/insert like you usually find in the middle of some catalogs? Mine has no tear-out insert whatsoever, and near the middle of the catalog there is even a page that says "missing the order form?" on the top.

Mine is printed on the back cover of the catalog. However, there has been discussion during many previous catalog releases that some people get the coupons, other don't, and there has been no real determination why this is.

Coupons when present are located in the lower part of the back cover.

Thanks so much for the info guys, unfortunately I did not get a coupon :(
That really sucks because I'm definitely getting me a Jor-El, another 10% off would've only bolstered the love for TLG that started with the free Chima pack last month.

Dunno what criteria they use to decide coupons, but I'm 90 miles from my nearest Lego store, had my membership since Spring 2011 and haven't spent more than $500.00 with TLG directly in the last year.
Maybe frequent customers get the coupon after their account totals a certain amount of purchases within a certain amount of time? Perhaps similar to TRUs rewards?
