[ThinkGeek.com] Superman: Smallville $39.99 & $20 off $60

Post by tremere » Tue May 14, 2013 9:55 pm

ThinkGeek.com currently has Superman: Battle of Smallville in stock for $39.99: https://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f206/
This is going for $49.99 MSRP, so a nice 20% off.

In addition, the code SKYLAB nets $20 off $60 before midnight ET on 5/16. There are a number of other Star Wars, superhero, LOTR, and TMNT sets that could be added to take advantage of this--or just pick up two Superman sets for $60 + shipping and enjoy the savings.

That said, the shipping cost does have the potential to put a damper on the deal if you're accustomed to free.

Agree, it clearly stated on pretty much all their lego sets, "Shipping restrictions: We cannot ship this item outside of the U.S.".

Stinks that you can't get free shipping if you use the $20 off code.

They shipped the wrong items to you? so fast, only 2 days since this thread was posted.

I haven't received mine yet.

Yup. Just wondered if it was just me or not. I get a lot of my shipments the next day if it is UPS from Amazon/Kmart...and now think geek-even though the wrong items :)

I had the reverse happen - ordered 3 x the 76009 and got 3 x the 76003 instead. I guess I won't complain.

I just received my order, and--surprise!--got Black Zero Escape 76009 in error rather than Battle of Smallville 76003. For those who had their orders the other way around, that might just have to go into the "Steal of a Deal" thread...
I'm awaiting a response on how they'll go about taking care of this issue. Can anyone else chime in on what options have been provided for resolution if you've gone through this with them already?

I am still battling with them to get my correct items or my money back. Think Geek has absolutely been the worst company I have ever dealt with for online returns. It was their mistake for sending me wrong products-after 30 days later I still have not gotten my money or correct product. Complaints with the BB and the VA Attorney General have been filed...next move this week filing a dispute with my credit card company...

Did you login to your thinkgeek account, search for your order, and request your RMA number from there? They gave me gift certificates for the refund and pre-paid label to return the wrong items.

I absolutely went through the return process(which is a joke too-they sent me Parcel Post labels with no tracking-had to pay for tracking on my own or risk they got lost.)...why in the world would someone want gift certs for a return of product that they screwed up? either give me the correct product or cash back....I will never shop with them again so why would I want a gift cert?

This is why I stick only with companies I know and trust. Sometimes if a deal is too good there is a reason.
