Bricktober 2013 LEGO Sale Week 1 at Toys R Us America

Post by Toys N Bricks » Sat Oct 05, 2013 6:58 pm

This week from October 6-12, Toys R Us America will be offering BOGO 40% off ALL LEGO. Exclusions are Technic, Mindstorms and Chima. Remember that Toys R Us now has all of the hard to find, modular buildings and exclusive sets labeled as "Hot Price Item". This means that they are excluded from all promotions even though the sale does not label them as being excluded.

In addition, you'll also get a free LEGO Minifigure Volume 1 Pack with purchases above $60 as well (to celebrate Bricktober).

Also note that Toys R Us is also now carrying this new LEGO Star Wars Super Pack 3 in 1 Set which contains 75019 AT-TE, 75016 Homing Spider Droid and 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid. I believe this is the first time a Super Pack set is available in North America. Usually, these Super Pack sets are only available in European countries.

It's over $60 and you get the horrible mini figure pack, not $75.

Ya, I was just looking at some of their sale prices last night and they were not too bad,10-10% off, but they quickly jacked the price so high even with the BOGO the prices are at or above MSRP.

You can still get the 15% off code on the website and free shipping on orders over $79. The Hard-to-Find exclusion is noted on the website even though it's omitted in the store ad. A shame, really.

All in all, I still came out ahead so I'm happy.

It should be criminal to change prices so erratically. Even in their ads the 'HOT Price' was 10-15 more then even Walmart.
And of course their overpriced HOT Price stuff was unable to be used in sale.

Note the $10 off $30 coupon from the latest mailer does stack with the BOGO.

My mailer had a 20% off a "regular" priced item.

They change prices so much it is hard to figure out what a "regular" priced item is. :???:

The super pack is out of stock. I've wanted to buy one of those for years but couldn't justify paying shipping from Europe and now I'm too late. Do you guys know if they sell those in stores? The website says they do but they don't have a "find in store option".

I'm sure they will magically be restocked after the sale.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

I stopped shopping at Toys R Us for everything since I found out about their price shenanigan. I hope they get sued like KB Toys did for having these "fake" sales all the time.

They own KB Toys.

No they didn't. And no one owns KB Toys, they went bye-bye 5-6-7 years ago.

What a shame, I could have combined that with the sail barge with the bogo 40% off and gotten a pretty decent deal. Well here's one instance where I hope it's TRU being greedy and they didn't run out and that I can maybe get one.
