Re: Steal of a Deal
I picked up the Kre-O Haunted Hideaway set for $9.99 two nights ago. It has 317 pieces, so the PpP was $0.03.

Re: Steal of a Deal
How are the Kreo sets? I picked up a bunch at a Target clearance (CityVille Invasion Skyscraper for $12, Marina Madness for $6, and Police Station Zombie Defense for $7.50). I also got the small poly of Dr. Mayhem's Jewel heist (20 cents at Kmart) and was wondering if the blocks stick together or fall apart by themselves (like mega bloks).

Re: Steal of a Deal
I'd say the quality is just below that of Lego bricks.Nepenthe7 wrote:How are the Kreo sets? ^ My Target has the same clearance, along with a couple MB items that I didn't take note of.

There was a Tenkai Knights set I grabbed too, but I have to double check which one before I post anything.Morgan19 wrote:^ My Target has the same clearance, along with a couple MB items that I didn't take note of.

Re: Steal of a Deal
I picked up a Mega Bloks 97015 Covenant Seraph set today for $20.00 at T.J. Maxx.
Re: Steal of a Deal
Using the TRU 20% off clearance coupon I snagged a Covenant Scarab, all 3300-odd pieces of it, for just $160.
And they still have tons on the shelves so I think I might manage to snag another one even cheaper down the line...as far as I can tell, they sold zero of them over Christmas in my local.
And I'll get $15 reward bucks for that too, I think. I've never figured out exactly how reward bucks are calculated, it's always much more or much less than I'm expecting.

Re: Steal of a Deal
I picked up nine of the Mega Bloks Idea Builders polybags marked down to $0.90 each at my local Target tonight.
Re: Steal of a Deal
My best discount ever (too bad it wasn't LEGO brand):
kreo: Dungeons & Dragons: Fortress Tower clearance price at Toys r us... 3 cents. Approx retail according to hasbro website: $19.99.
I donated the parts to my son's LEGO building collection and we split the minifigures and minifigure accessories. I really like some of the helmets and weapons and they will add some variety to my LEGO castle minifigures if I'm in a non-purist mood.

Re: Steal of a Deal
I picked up the A8604 Kre-O G.I.Joe Terror Drome set out of a Clearance bin at Toy'R'Us last night for $62.90. It was obviously a return and I haven't opened it yet to see if anything is missing. I'm hoping it's a complete set.
Re: Steal of a Deal
I picked up set 3182 for $50! The plane is huge.
Re: Steal of a Deal
I passed up a $50 halo walking mech with remote for $15 on clearance at Walmart. Mega blocks fall apart if you look at them funny.
Re: Steal of a Deal
If its the same one that I think it is it doesn't really walk. I thought it might be interesting at a discounted price to use the "walking" mechanisms with LEGO but when I checked online reviews I discovered that it doesn't walk. The remote control features control the torso that pivots on the waist and "firing" guns.Nepenthe7 wrote:I passed up a $50 halo walking mech with remote for $15 on clearance at Walmart.
