What train set you were referring too? The only one I see as free ship is the 79111 LEGO Lone Ranger train. The majority of the sets aren't available for free shipping for some reason.

The new white highspeed train worked for me

Make sure that you change the shipping option to standard, it defaults to express.

For some reason I do not see an option for free shipping and the standard option is still charged in my case. Perhaps cause I'm in QC? Any way, thanks for the heads up.

I am located in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and the standard shipping is not free for the newer sets.

It's odd then. Don't understand why it would be free for the OP, I thought maybe it was IP / Geo based or something as I wasn't even logged into my account and it still said no free shipping.

How long is Benny's Spaceship going to be on reorder? It's been that way since they added it into their data base. :-(

I just went in to check the shipping option and it now shows $10.78; maybe free was a glitch.

Subtotal
$127.46.

Add $25.00 of eligible items to qualify for free shipping! see details ??? weird

Show me gift wrap and note options during checkout

The new City Advent Calendar is eligible for the promo + Free Shipping. The Star Wars Advent Calendar and other new sets as reported above are not.

You could always select to pickup at store , which is free. This is the option I choose when my item is below $25.

I think free shipping depends on the size of the box. For example, the city cargo terminal is not available for free shipping while the slightly smaller LOTR pirate ship is. I remember last year LOTR Helm's Deep is not available for free shipping but available for free store pickup (same for Jabba's Palace). However, nowadays I noticed that many newer sets are not available for free store pickup as well.

That option was there for me in the morning but when I looked in the afternoon store pick up was gone.

Don't think it has to do with the size of the box, some older themes (boxes of varying different sizes from small to big) and older sets in a given theme are eligible for free shipping. The majority of new themes/sets aren't. Kind of stupid they would do it this way, guess incentivize shoppers to clear out old stock.

The same thing happened to me. I went to buy the Star Wars Cantina set, but this item is not eligible for free shipping, hence no buying for me...

Free shipping was not available for any Guardians or Ultra Agents sets, nor X-Men Sentinel. Store pickup was also not an option. I guess I get to hold onto my money a bit longer until someone offers a proper sale.

I love how a book store excludes books from its coupons. "Thank you" indeed. It's like they're trying to hurry along the transition to digital and put themselves out of business.

Even the regular priced books? Most of the books they sell are already at online prices, I believe they are somewhere between 30-40% compared to getting them in stores, therefore excluded from using any coupons. If they indeed exclude the regular priced books then they should change their coupon code to "No Thank You".

It helps if you read the coupon. I myself only just noticed the coupon says "25% off one item, storewide & online, excludes books online"

can you unfront page this. all the prices have been jacked up and its ridiculous. the 25% doesnt even cover the upcharge and you have to pay shipping. Id rather get ripped off at TRU then ever visit this site again.

The prices haven't been jacked up. This is MSRP in Canada in Canadian dollars. This deal is targeted at Canadians.
