2015 January LEGO Star Wars set images are now here via just2good. All of the box art will be based on the LEGO Star Wars Rebel series and will include the Disney logo. There will be a total of four battle packs, a few classics and some new Rebel Series sets. A total of 13 standard regular Star Wars sets would be released making it a pretty big release considering its the Winter wave. Usually, the summer wave has more sets and the sets are bigger (more pricier) for the Christmas season while the Winter wave has fewer sets and the sets are smaller (less costly).

Really looking forward to this wave.

75079 - Shadow Troopers looks really cool
75078 - Imperial Troop Transport looks awesome. I can finally build up my Storm Trooper army.
75088 - Senate Commando Troopers also looks awesome. Will probably get a few of these.
75082 - Tie Advanced. I wasn't sure about this one at first, but that dark Jedi (?) looks awesome.
75086 - Battle Droid Carrier. I wasn't sure about this one either, especially after the disappointing MTT that came out in the summer wave. I have two of these already from the older style. I do like how many battle droids you get though. That's a big bonus. Might get one of these.
75083 - AT-DP, Another imperial walker! Enough said.
75084 - Wookie Gunship. Will probably get one. I like the concept, but I don't know if it will go with some of the MOCs I am planning.

75089 Genosis Troopers. Might get 1 or two if they are on sale. They look great! I am just not that interested in that Clone Wars episode really...

The rest is kinda meh. Don't really care about T-16 or Ezra speeder bike. I have speeder bikes coming up the wazzu. The AAT looks awful! I already have the last two before this anyway.

I agree we all already have speeder bikes. If we wanted the minifigs included then we may consider the set a good purchase. I do like the tuskin raider. Its too bad that there is only 1 included. Skyhopper design looks interesting. I'll probably pass on all or most of them

The Senate Commando battle pack is great, i believe they were only included in 2 sets before, now we have the chance to pick some up at a good price. The Geonosis Troopers battle pack looks basically the same as the Utapau battle pack just a different paint job and vehicle. Not too excited for that one. The rest looks good.

Ill probably be sticking to the battle packs in this group, one exception for the prototype tie fighter to add to my Tie wing. Ive been meaning to re-make the Tie Interceptor in the Black and Grey.

I really wish they would stop pushing the spring loaded missiles in all these sets. They add up to USD$10 to the retail price of a set. It makes them very unattractive buys for adult collectors. It doesn't help that the Minifigs in most of the spring loaded sets are terrible anyway, and this new Hailfire is a prime example. They will sit unsold next to the Droid Gunships that still clutter the toy aisle.

Oh, and the Minifigure in the Advanced Tie is The Inquisitor, the primary villain in the new Rebels series. He isn't technically a Jedi or Sith, just an Imperial agent that has been trained in the use of a lightsaber according to the lore.

Also, very disappointing that the Sabine minifig with the speeder bike doesn't have her in her Mandalorian armor. It definitely changed my mind about wanting the set.
