They are also in US targets, and I can confirm that the Dpci code is the same as series 12, so 204-00-0261. BUT, the boxes in the stockroom are clearly marked with the 1-1-15 street date. Friendly clerk tonight gave me the good news "yes, I found them back there" / bad news "no, I can't sell them to you or the store could get penalized." More bad news... Price is going back up to $3.99.

Maybe something to do with their online game again? For sure it is not for something like a Mr.Gold.

The codes unlock the minifigure in the online game. You aren't really winning anything as you bought the figure you can now play in the game.

Could it be possible that people buy them for the kids as stocking stuffers?

There were tons of these at the Walmart in Toronto at Runnymede and St. Clair.

Some stores follow street dates, and some do not. Some stores only have lego reps to fill their shelves, in that case, they will follow the street date which will be next year. Also do not bother to ask some of the senior staffs because they are simply clueless.

Worst case senario, street date is Jan 2. 2015, most retailers should have them out by then. Heads up to those planning on asking CSRs at Walmart about these to not get pissed, there are reasons why they work as CSRs at Walmarts. I have seen a couple of answers so far, the most interesting and common one is, we do not sell ANY minifigures. While a simple, we are Out Of Stock, please check back again will do. Sigh, people are so hard to train when they do not listen or when communication is a problem.

Anyhow, found 4 empty boxes at Deerfoot Meadows Wal*Mart Saturday night...though some looking around I found 6 packages, including Hot Dog Guy and Unicorn Girl. Deerfoot Mall up north had some 9 boxes in two areas in the store. Also seems procedure is to remove the tops now.

In Calgary region, Crossiron Chapters has them out now, I went in asked if they were available the girl said they weren't. Thankfully I had talked to a Manager yesterday, who had informed me they would be out today and assured me they had boxes in the back. Asked the girl to double check for me, and she came back out with 2 boxes. Got what I needed out of one box, left the other untouched, pretty sure there are more in the back.

Just stopped by both my local Walmart and Meijer's hoping to find them. Christmas week wiped them out of all CMF so I was hoping they would stock the new ones today but I had no luck. On a positive note at least they didn't suddenly find cases of series 12 to stock

Friday I stopped at 2x Targets in Lexington KY, 1x Walmart and 1x Toys R us. None of them had Series 13. Hamburg Target had the cardboard shelf display for series 13 but it had they were apparently sold out. Instead it was nearly full of series 12. On another endcap they had 6 opened boxes of series 12. They had tons of series 12.
