Lorca writes in to inform us that he spotted boxes of Barbara's Puffin's Cereal containing LEGO Movie promotions. Inside each cereal box, there are coupons for $5.00 of a ticket for The LEGO Movie and $1.00 of any Barbara's product.

There are also various LEGO giveaways on Barbara's website including a daily drawing for a grand prize, which entails a trip to LEGOLAND.

Oh, yeah! We used to get Puffins for my daughter when she was younger. I had no idea the brand was called Barbara's.

It's not a sure thing that you'll get a $5 coupon, unfortunately. Inside each box is a code, which you have to enter on their website, which gives you just under a 1-in-10 chance of getting a movie coupon. If you don't get a movie coupon you'll get a $1 coupon for more cereal. According to the terms and conditions, they are giving away 100,000 movie coupons, and a little under a million cereal coupons.

Weird. I have never heard of this company or their products (neither has my wife, but to be fair, I do most of the grocery shopping) and according to their website they do carry them at a store we shop at.

Small correction: There is a code inside each package which one can enter online for a chance at either the $5 movie credit (good for any Warner Bros movie through the end of the year) OR a $1 off a Barbara's product. As the items are $5+ in my local store, I couldn't make the numbers work for me. FYI. YMMV.
