Is it just me or is the life span of these too quick?

Fred Meyers in Auburn WA also has these in stock (since last week). Some very nice new colored parts.

Indeed! They go fast.Mantisking wrote:You're not the only one.SpaceNinjaDino wrote:Is it just me or is the life span of these too quick?
I think that the tan color Mixels from series 3 are going to be very popular.
The parts are gorgeous.
Looking forward for this wave.

I agree. I bought one so far. I've been holding out for the tan ones. I may also buy one of the purple ones. The tan ones have some great parts.
Re: LEGO Series 3 Mixels (Clorp Corp, Spikels, Wiztastics) N
Also the fact that this is the series before Christmas. Anyone can buy them just to add one more little thing.
As soon as I see them I will get one of each for the tans and greens.
Plus when the inevitable Lego sales come, I will grab more.
Don't wait too long on this series...

^ Yeah, I'm thinking the remainder of Series 2 will be part of my September purchase in order to get the Spaceman, then Series 3 will be part of my October and/or November purchases in order to get the inevitable Holiday Sets 1 & 2 of 2. Missed out on 1 of 2 last year, still need to find one on the aftermarket. Not happening again this year.

I'm still missing three on Series 1. Why couldn't they space these out by six months instead of two or three?
Re: LEGO Series 3 Mixels (Clorp Corp, Spikels, Wiztastics) N
^ They're basically as short-lived as the Friends pet pouches. My mother-in-law found a bunch of Mixels Ser.1 at an odd store (can't remember which) a few months ago after the release of Ser. 2, which provided me the Infernites, as I had the Cragsters and Electroids already.
Right now I only have the Fang Gang from Ser. 2, so I'll need to hit up the Frosticons and Flexers real soon.

Does anyone have the Target DCPI number for any of these?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was hoping to find them at Target first but they are not at my store yet.
So TRU it was.
Luckily they were reg. MSRP and even thought I did not have enough money to get all of the ones I wanted, I did get Glurt and Hoogi.
So far I love the pieces they have, these transparent cheese slices are awesome!

Which do you need from series 1? I just saw a few (very few) at a local store hereMantisking wrote:I'm still missing three on Series 1. Why couldn't they space these out by six months instead of two or three?

Found them at local target on a sidecap.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

I picked up 1/3 of Series 3 -- the Green faction -- last night at the Framingham Target.
Re: LEGO Series 3 Mixels (Clorp Corp, Spikels, Wiztastics) N
Today after a big test I had I decided that I will reward myself with 2 Mixels: Glurt and Footi.
I went out to Target and at the first one they did not have any of them.
Went to second Target they had Glurt, but no Footi.
Went to a third Target and found my Footi.
Out of curiosity and because I had the time I explored other 2 Targets in my area.
What I found in 5 Target? Mixels are flying off the shelves.
In 3 out of 5 I found Moms and Grandmas buying them for no special reason for their kids.
I even engage in conversation with them since they ask me "Your kid also plays with them?"
Also the supply is low, no more than 7 on the box plus end gables (displays).
I'm not saying they will not return because these came out a few weeks ago, but I'm surprise at how fast they are selling!!
If this pace continues there will be few for the Holidays.

Re: LEGO Series 3 Mixels (Clorp Corp, Spikels, Wiztastics) N
Mixels seem to be a really popular theme, for quite a variety of reasons, to quite a variety of people. For AFOLs, it's mainly because of the new/rare parts and colors, as well as the imaginative designs and parts usage. For kids, it's the tie-in to the cartoon characters, as well as the parts/colors to a lesser extent. For parents, it's the hope for creativity that the designs will inspire, plus the low price.
As for there being few around the holidays, I'd say you're correct, but only because Ser.4 will be coming out right thereafter, so Ser.3 will be winding down. That said, there are still Ser.2 to be found at LEGO Stores.
