Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
This is kind of unprecedented behavior from LEGO, isn't it? I seem to recall the previous Black Fridays, they never really reduced anything substantially for Black Friday (just the 10%). These are all obviously sets that will be discontinued by the end of the year - and now I'm wondering if it's better to wait until the day after Christmas or not. Too many choices!

With the BF deal as stated
LEGO Shop Promotions
FREE Shipping on orders above $49
FREE Limited Edition Holiday Set 2 of 2 on orders above $99
10% off on orders above $149
All sales and offers are stackable, no coupon required
So if the item is worth 250 dollars (ATOT dropship) since this is included in the less 25 percent
Less 25 percent
is 186.75
And since this is >149 dollars then less 10 percent
186.75 less 18.67
is 168.07 dollars
Is this the correct computation?

They are all good sets to get - I don't know if the discounts after christmas tend to be better than this? Those sets probably won't even be around anymore after christmas as they will go quickly throughout this sale (I am thinking about the Online Exlusives).ritzcrackerman wrote:This is kind of unprecedented behavior from LEGO, isn't it? Discontinued sets will be 50% off after Christmas If any are still in stock. And the popular ones likely won't be.harry99 wrote:They are all good sets to get - I don't know if the discounts after christmas tend to be better than this? Does the 25% stack with the 10% scratch off card
Imperial Flagship : 180 - (25%+10%) = 117
Imperial Flagship : 180 - (25%+10%) = 117

Lego has discounted sets on previous black friday weekends but I don't think they have discounted sets the last 2 years. A couple of years back they had some of the factory sets like 10200 Custom Car Garage for 50% off. If you want something I would get it now especially if it is an exclusive as they don't usually make the post christmas sale unless they are unpopular sets.ritzcrackerman wrote:This is kind of unprecedented behavior from LEGO, isn't it? I wonder why Lego didn't make these sales available for the VIP Member in store event. I was invited but didn't go because it didn't seem like much of a deal. If these were offered it would have made for a bigger incentive to go.

I'd suggest buying it now and if it shows up for half off after Christmas, return it and buy it back. No?

The Exclusives seem better like the ones last year...pumbaugh wrote:I guess everyone forgets....they did sales last year as well...

I would agree that the deals seem better this year. Only thing I was interested in last year was the front end loader which was an insta sellout if I remember correctly due to a price error.

Are the brick and mortar stores doing the scratch off cards for sure this year?

Great to hear about the stacking! I'm aiming to get the Flagship and a few small sets to push it over $150....
I'm hoping they start the sale before 00:01AM
are there any known promo codes out there?

I don't think Promo codes work as I tried ordering the Shadow Trooper with it last time to no avail - the item was cancelled out by the system...eliminator wrote:Great to hear about the stacking! I'm aiming to get the Flagship and a few small sets to push it over $150....

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
cool, so what are some of your strategies out there? Add everything you intend to buy to your online cart and just refresh it once the deal becomes active?
Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
Tried it when it was on last Saturday (Nov. 19, 2011) when they had the 10% off VIP sale with the Promotion Set. Did not work. Was cancelled out by the system no matter which browser I used.Ice wrote:That promotion was only good till November 21st, while supplies last.harry99 wrote: I don't think Promo codes work as I tried ordering the Shadow Trooper with it last time to no avail - the item was cancelled out by the system...
