[CAN] Walmart Clearance

As always with any Walmart clearance deals, this is YMMV. I found the following sets on clearance, some deals much better than others:

4192 Fountain of Youth - $10
4191 The Captain's Cabin - $7
4865 The Forbidden Forest - $5
4736 Freeing Dobby - $3
4642 Fishing Boat - $20
4741 Speed Boat - $5
8486 Mack's Team Truck - $30
8424 Mater's Spy Zone - $10
8206 Tokyo Pit Stop - $10
7306 Golden Staff Guardians - $10

What WalMart was that? WalMart usually marks down store-by-store - those are certainly some great discounts!

I found those sets at Markville Shopping Center in Markham, ON. I just came from the store at Markham & Steeles in Scarborough and saw some of those same sets at the same prices (ie. Freeing Dobby, Forbidden Forest)

I just found the 3648 Police Chase on clearance for $15. That's 50% off MSRP for an exclusive. I'd say that's not bad!

This was at the Markville Shopping Center location. There was only 5 left (that I could find), so I picked up two and left three.

My local WM at Heartland in Mississauga had a dozen of these but the price is $25. Anyone else find this set at $15? Please provide location. Thanks!

WalMart is always a hit and miss and differs widely by store. I have not found it for $15 yet either.

walmart.ca online shop are having similar deals. I bought POTC a couple of weeks ago at the same price as written up.

Yeah the clearance prices definitely vary from store to store. Similar to how some of our west coast friends were finding Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter for $20. All the stores around me are still sitting on tons of them, and they've been at $40 for months now.

I was able to find it for $10 at the WM at Erin Mills and Burnhamthorpe. Unfortunately, it was the only one I could find. Good luck to others!

Picked up a $10 cursed cobra statue this morning. Great for parts. Mississauga. Was unmarked all on its own.

^Nice score. Last time I went to a Walmart, they had plenty of PQ sitting on the shelf for $10 off the original price.

Not sure if this has any relevance here, but I was at a Wal mart superstore here in Saskatoon and they had about 15 Luke's Landspeeders 8092. They weren't on clearance but i know I have seen them in stores for a long time. Maybe they found a box in the back that they missed.

Walmart here in Gatineau QC (Ottawa area), they have a whole bunch of Mace Windu's Starfighter for 15$ (70% off retail). There was still a good 10+ available. They also had POTC The Mill for 25$, but skipped that one.

The Walmart in St. Catharines on Welland Avenue has 4645 Harbour on clearance for $35. Regular retail for this set was $120 in Canada, so that works out to be about 70% off. Most of the other stores that have it on clearance usually have it only at $90 or $70 for this Harbour set from what I've seen.

There should be around 7 boxes or so. It might not be in the displayed on the shelves however. I couldn't find any myself (despite that on their website it said at this location they were in-stock). I asked a CSR to tell me where I could find it. Ask for the number on the website that's under the "in-stock at your local store" thing on the product page (so for example in this case, with this 4645 Harbour set, that number would be 0067341914301). Get the CSR to put it into the scanner thing that they have to check the stock numbers. If there aren't any on the shelves but when the CSR checks the number and their scanner still says there's stock, get them to check the back for you. My CSR went to the back to get mine, and brought out a cardboard box that contained like 8 of these sets. Should be still 7 after I got one.

If you're referring to online as in what the website said that specific store was $35, then yes. If you're referring to online price they have (if you browse Walmart's website, you'll get what I mean), then no.

Thank you Toronadian. While I wasn't really interested in the Harbor as I'm running out of room in my city, I have been eyeing the Marina 4644. It has been on clearance for $55 for the past few months, but I decided to check the price at St Catherine's and it's $35. I then decided to look at a few more store locally and the Walmart in North York had it for $15! I knew my local Walmart had one set left still at $55 so I decided to try a price match.

Took it to the counter with the print out and the cashier said she couldn't do it. I asked if she could ask a manager. A few minutes later the manager looked at it. Said that normally they do not price match clearance and she didn't know why they put it so low, but to go ahead with the price match. I was also a bit worried because the stock status in North York was "not likely in stock", but in the end I got it for $15 plus tax.

Normally retails for $64.99, so 77% off. Thanks again!
