[US] Walmart Black Friday Ad -Update pg2
[US] Walmart Black Friday Ad -Update pg2
Walmart's ad finally hit and it doesn't look good for Lego.
All I see is Lego Batman 2: the video game for 10.00 , Lego Duplo Bucket 4427 - 15$ and a Regular Lego Bucket (Cant make out model #) for 15$
I was hoping they would try to move some old Ninjago or maybe even LOTR but out of luck.

It looks like #4628 for the LEGO set, 600 pcs for $15, not bad. Walmart has been doing these bucket/box deals for the past several years for black friday. Sorry I did not pay enough attention to the Duplo one for those interested in that.
[Canada] Walmart LEGO Black Friday
Yup, should be this - not bad for $15 or probably $20 CDN at Canadian WalMarts :).
I'm surprised that these still have the old 4-# numbers - they must have produced them quite a while back.

Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
Last year it was the blue buckets of 700 legos for $15. Must be inflation. I'll probably still pick up two buckets. My kids love to use these to just build stuff.
Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
No last year it was #6749 for $15 which is 650pcs and cardboard also, not a blue bucket. The year before that was the 1600pc XXL box #5512.Dmendro wrote:Last year it was the blue buckets of 700 legos for $15. Must be inflation. I'll probably still pick up two buckets. Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
was Lego Marvel on there, for $35? I thought it was when you clicked on that section. Not a bad price to get Iron Patriot also.
Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
I believe the #5512 was $30 in 2011. Deal getting worse each year!pumbaugh wrote:No last year it was #6749 for $15 which is 650pcs and cardboard also, not a blue bucket. Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
Of course they are because LEGO is selling better each year. 10 years ago LEGO had 1000 piece plastic buckets for $20, then sometimes had gold pieces in them, or "rare" purple (Remember when purple was rare?
) or just 500 random pieces from LEGO cleaning out their warehouses.

Man those "bonus boxes" were the best. Buy 1000 parts and get 500 for free.Brick & Blue wrote:Of course they are because LEGO is selling better each year. 10 years ago LEGO had 1000 piece plastic buckets for $20, then sometimes had gold pieces in them, or "rare" purple (Remember when purple was rare?) or just 500 random pieces from LEGO cleaning out their warehouses.

Thanks for the heads up. We bought a number of these last year to use during my son's LEGO birthday party. He's insisting on another LEGO theme for his next birthday, so we'll be in line for these again...
Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
I noticed Walmart.com now shows two different items for each Marvel Superheroes game for the PS3, Wii, Xbox 360. One with the bonus Iron Patriot and one without. So there is no guarantee the ones sold during Black Friday would still have the bonus.grymg wrote:was Lego Marvel on there, for $35? I thought it was when you clicked on that section. And TRU had them buy 2 get one free. $40.00 for 4500 pieces. I dropped $280.00 that day for 31,500 pieces. I consider it the core of my collection.King wrote:Man those "bonus boxes" were the best. Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
The 1600 piece was also $15 back in 2011. I bought 2 of them. Not going to bite for these smaller boxes.
Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
Oh, those were great boxes. I picked up two thinking, naively, that we'd use one and I'd save one for my nephew (who was 2 at the time) - but we ended up opening both of them up...intromission wrote:The 1600 piece was also $15 back in 2011. I thought they were $30 on Black Friday, but half off on clearance. It seems so long ago….

Re: [US] Walmart Black Friday Ad
^ Yup. The advertised US price was $30 - the advertised Canadian price was $40.
They could be had cheaper on clearance - yet that differed across North America.

That it does. You may be right. It's possible I picked up one at 30 and the second on clearance.
