Just purchased 10230 LEGO® Creator Expert Mini Modulars! I'm already regretting spending money on myself this close to christmas but I've never seen this item discounted and I had some VIP points to redeem+free holiday set. I've been dying to build the Mini Modulars since I first saw it. 63.98 (after 20% discount) really isn't a bad price for a set so unique as this one

It did crash on me once... and took a long time to load. I actually had 3 items in my cart before the clock changed to midnight... then I refreshed. I've had bad luck with server crashes before when ordering during special promotions. Good luck

It took a while, but I got in and got everything I wanted. I had pre-filled my cart prior to midnight, but I was still holding out hope that they'd magically restock that Halloween Accessory set. No such luck...

So, I still for some reason can't log in on my VIP account on my computer, but was able to on my phone.

Picked up a couple Chima, the skunk and the fox, and also Mia's magic set. Waiting till 5am to get this year's winter set at the actual store, so I can get the PAB box and so I can build my Winter Village this weekend!

Frankly, I see a lot of people posting excuses for LEGO, including, "they are a manufacture first, a retailer second, this isn't their primary focus".

Well then, if you can't do it right, don't do it at all, otherwise it just comes across as half-assed and makes the company look bad.

Then I hear, "they aren't a big retailer, they don't have Amazon or Walmart's web site budget".

Yea? And neither do 1,000 other eCommerce web sites that are smaller than TLG and they all seem to do it right. Besides, you can buy the backend, no need to roll your own if you don't want to. Even Netflix uses Amazon's back end servers and they are direct competitors, so when it comes to backend systems, use what works.
