This is the front of the box for LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase 2022. It has the set details including recommend age, pieces and set number.
This is the back of the box. It shows the functions and features of the set. these include statue wall images that can be moved as well as a staircase that can rotate.
The top of the box shows the actual size of the LEGO minifigure included in the LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase set. The minifigure is the kid version of Hermione Granger,
LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase 2022 Set Contents
Dumping out the contents, you get a few bags of pieces. They are numbered one and numbered two for the building process. You also get a sticker sheet with lots of stickers for the set. Unfortunately, LEGO did not print the images on the pieces but instead produced stickers for them. Usually, LEGO wouldn’t print the images on the pieces if those pieces would only be used one time for a specific set. You also get a standard size LEGO instructions booklet for LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase.
LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase 2022 Building Process
The first part of the build is the minifigure as well as the structure of the grand staircase set. The second part of the build from bag two would be the finishing touches and the staircase.
We were suppose to use the pieces for bag one first and after we are done, we are suppose to use bag two pieces. However, we accidently opened all the bags. As such, the sorted pieces below are for all the pieces.
This is the LEGO Hermione Granger Kid Minifigure with her wizard wand. She has a happy face. She wears a nice uniform and has a skirt piece as well.
The Hermione Granger Kid Minifigure also has an alternative face and that’s her scared face.
Below is the structure of the set after finishing with bag one.
You then go on to finish the build with bag two finishing with the staircase and the details.
The staircase can be rotated to go to a different area to the left.
The staircase can also be rotated to the right as well. Note that these images where the stairs lead to can be easily removed and move to one of the four areas as well.
This is the back of the grand staircase. Notice there are two connecting studs on both sides. This is so that it can possibly connect to a different LEGO Harry Potter set.
These are the spare extra pieces left. You get an extra wizard wand too!
Near the end of the instruction pages, it shows that you can combine several of the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets and make it into a giant Hogwarts Castle. Pretty neat.

Overall Thoughts
The LEGO Harry Potter 40577 Hogwarts Grand Staircase set is a cool set for Harry Potter fans. The build process is relatively simple and not too complicated. It lost some points in our ratings for the parts as we didn’t like how LEGO used a lot of stickers for the pieces. Overall, its still a nice set especially if you get it as a free gift.
