The winner for the LEGOLAND Social Media Invention Convention Contest winner has been announced. Its 7 year old Ethan Gonzalez. He will be one of the first to visit the LEGO Movie World that opens in April 2020 at LEGOLand California Resort. He will also get the opportunity to ride the flagship attraction: Emmet’s Flying Adventure and get a one-night stay at the LEGOLand Castle Hotel. Additional images can be found here.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (February 17, 2020) – LEGOLAND® California Resort names 7-year-old Ethan Gonzalez winner of the first Social Media Invention Convention Contest! Inspired by The LEGO® MOVIE© 2: The Second Part, the family theme park encouraged parents to show off their children’s building skills on Social Media by tagging LEGOLAND California Resort with a photo or video of their child’s invention and Ethan’s innovative invention titled “Greatest Park Ever!” made him the grand prize winner!
Ethan’s winning creation is a park fully made from LEGO brick, equipped with recycling robots that are made from recycled parts themselves. The Greatest Park Ever features a robot with a shovel and broom for hands so he can clean the park and, of course, recycle! This park also includes a fully recycled seesaw and plenty of flowers and trees for clean air. Ethan was inspired to create a sustainable park by his mom who always tells him how important it is to take care of the planet. The whole creation took Ethan about 3 hours to assemble. Someday, Ethan wants to be a master builder just like his favorite character, Emmet!
The second grader will be one of the first to visit THE LEGO® MOVIE© WORLD, which opens in April 2020 at LEGOLAND California Resort, and ride the flagship attraction: Emmet’s Flying Adventure! He will also get to live like a king with a one-night stay in the LEGOLAND® Castle Hotel.
THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD is based on the blockbuster films The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The new land fully immerses guests into the LEGO Movie universe and places them onto the streets of Bricksburg. On the flagship ride, Emmet’s Flying Adventure, guests hop aboard Emmet’s triple decker flying couch for a thrill-seeking adventure. In addition to Emmet’s Flying Adventure, kids and families will get to enjoy the rush of falling from Unikitty’s Disco Drop and experiencing the many personalities of the fearless feline. The adventure doesn’t stop there as guests can explore Benny’s Play Ship, ride a themed carousel, and enjoy tasty themed treats throughout the land.
