It has just been announced that if the negotiations are not successful, Canada Post workers will have a strike starting this thursday midnight. Besides not getting your regular lettermail, what this means is that parcels that are in transit will be on hold if they are not delivered by thursday. There’s no clue how long this strike will be, but the last strike was 15 years ago and took 16 days. So if your a Bricklink seller or planning to purchase something online that ships via Canada Post (i.e Barnes & Nobles), you should avoid them for now.
And if the shipping rates are not already expensive enough, we can probably all start expecting a tax raise or an increase in postal rates soon.
